There was a fisherman town with a beach so beautiful it was called the heaven’s beach.

The
vast scenery filled with golden shining sand and the pristine clear water that will surely mesmerized
everyone. The town’s sea was full of rare and big fishes. All kinds of fishes which you can and cannot
imagine. A beautiful fish like it just came out of a fairy tale, even the fish there was equipped with
shiny golden scales that mesmerized everyone. This is because of the mermaids that are always
visiting the beach. The mermaid is a creature which an upper half of a human and the latter half of a
fish. They are all very beautiful! With their Long silky hair and shining attractive scales, it is no
wonder every beaches they have been will also strive. They are loved by the sea and fishes! The
mermaids attracted fishes to come to the town. With the abundance resources of fishes, the
fishermen of the town are all rich. They can get fishes very easy. Every time they fish, they will
always come back with mountains of fat and delicious fishes. Thus, the fishermen all live happily and
full of wealth. The only advice the mermaid said to the fishermen was ‘Do not be too greedy’.

With all the fishes and wealth they had, the fishermen of the town had tasted all kinds of
fishes and foods. They indulged themselves in their wealth. They eat expensive foods, even foods
from all types of country, Nasi Lemak, Nasi Kandar, Pizza, TomYum, all kinds. Nothing can satisfy
them anymore.

They party all nights and day, they spend a lot of money every day but they never feel the
pleasure. Fishing was no more enjoyable too. They have tasted all of the fishes in the sea. The big
one, the small one, even the colourful one! The fishermen were bored, nothing can satisfy them
anymore.

The fishing required no efforts too as they are always lots of fishes. They can even throw no
bait but still get fish!

One day, one fisherman said, ‘we have tasted all kind of foods and fishes but we never taste the
mermaid’s meat!’

The others began to wonder the taste of the mermaid. ‘It must be tasty! It is a big fish after all!’

One kind fishermen then said, ‘But their upper half is just like us! How can you want to try eating
them!’.

One old fisherman even said ‘Remember the advice, do not be greedy!’

The others replied ‘They are still fishes! Fishes are meant to be caught and eaten!’
Then the fishermen planned to kidnap and eat one mermaid. They deliberately plan. They plan so
detailed that every steps are written and memorized. ‘Let’s make this plan successful and let’s enjoy
a mermaid feast tonight!’

The mermaid always left before the sunset, so the fishermen carefully wait with their nets
and ropes ready until there is only one mermaid left. Then, they will execute the plan. The time has
come! Only one mermaid left at the shore. SSHUSHHHHH! The fishermen quickly toss their nets.
Then, they heard an unexpected wailing! It is the mermaid cries! AAAAA AAAA AAAAA the cries are
so loud that all of the town heard it. Because of the cries, the fishermen hands slipped and then the
mermaid quickly escaped.

After this incident, the mermaids never came back to the fishermen’ beach. All of the fishes
from the sea too. This leaves the fishermen’ town in shambles. With the fishes gone, they now have
no money, their wealth is all gone. Now, they are all poor. This is a consequence of them being too
greedy, after all the benefits they got from the mermaid. They started to regret their wrong-doings.
But no matter what, they know, the mermaids will never be again in-sight.

On 24t December 2021, my friends and I have embarked for a trip i will never forget. A trip full of
laugh and delight. It was a youth trip, a trip spent with friends.

Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge

Even before arriving, I was mesmerized by the welcoming arch of Penang, the honoured trademark
of its land. The Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge is surely a bridge like no others, it is so
long but was enjoyable too! Imagine being on a bridge with the open sea as your view and the big
concrete jungle structure awaiting in the end of the bridge. Fun fact: It is the second longest bridge
in South East Asia!

Batu Feringghi Beach

After taking a quick rest at our stay, we hurried to Batu Feringghi Beach. Gladly, we are in time for
the sunset.

I was stunned. Yes, stunned. The glowing golden sand, the hue of the skies, and the gently waves.
The jewel-blue sea and the changing orange-red sunset made it more charming. The scene looks like
it came out of a movie.

Watching the sunset made me thought about repeating the moments infinitely.

We stayed there until night. We lied down and watch the glowing night stars. The beach even at
night, was still a looker. The loud but heart calming sound of the waves paired with the flowing night
starts is a must-visit for every tourist who went to Penang.

Hin Bus Depot

Our second day there, we followed the suggestion of our local guide for the trip, Mimi to go to Hin
Bus Depot. As someone who likes old places and coffee, this is certainly a place I will never get bored
of. This once-derelict bus station is a local’s proud. The exterior may look old as the walls are full of
peeled-paints and faded white colour, but the inside was brimming with arts and people.

With buskers’ singing as the melody to our sightseeing, we enjoyed taking pictures in all spots of in
HIn Bus Depot. The abstract and colourful arts on the walls plus the combo of coffee’s fragrance
from the surrounding cafe was surely a new experience.
