Support Garantisadong Pambata
Let us support Garantisadong Pambata (GP) to prevent 82,000 Children from
dying before their 5th Birthday :
••25 babies in every 1,000 live births die before their first birthday
••16 babies in every 1,000 live births die before one month old
••34 children in every 1,000 live births die before the 5th birthday
Garantisadong Pamabata (GP) is a national health service and communication initiative that will help our
children survive illnesses and diseases and live long healthy lives. GP has a 4-in-1 package of services:

•• Bitamina A (Vitaming A)

•• Bakuna (Immunization)

•• Bata, Purgahin (Deworming)

•• Bumisita sa Health Center para sa karagdagang kaalaman sa Mga Paraan Para Mailigtas ang mga Bata (Visit
your health facility for information and counseling on Ways to Save The Child)

Let us act now to support GP through:

•• Securing Vitamin A supply for the children and postpartum mothers in the LGU and/orr community all
year round. The national government will provide supplies for children only during the April and October
supplementation activities.

•• Allocating funds to cover the expenses of health service providers in delivering GP services during the GP
week and the regular health services in even the most inaccessible areas. This will include transportation and
other allowances for the welfare of your midwives, nurse, doctors and BHWs, and emergency needs.

•• Providing financial support for meetings and workshops including GP promotion planning, monitoring and
documentation

•• Supporting the reproduction of GP communication and promotional materials that your constituents will
understand and appreciate

•• Organizing of and/or participate in activities such as launching of GP at the community level

GP can help YOU as Local Chief Executive to free

up funds that were previously allocated for costly
treatment for sick children and use the funds
for other essential health commodities and in
improving health facilities.
