LISTENING

(Track 3)
Headteacher: Good morning. I’m Mrs Wilson,
headteacher of Newburn School. How
can I help you?
Parent: Nice to meet you, Mrs Wilson. I’d like
some information about your school. I’m
looking for a school for my daughter,
Emily, for next year.
Headteacher: Oh? Are you new in the area?
Parent: Yes. We’re from London.
Headteacher: How old is Emily?
Parent: She’s 13. Her 14th birthday is on 20th
June.
Headteacher: What school subjects does she like?
Parent: She loves drama. Do you teach drama
here?
Headteacher: No, we don’t, but the students learn art
and music twice a week.
Parent: Emily doesn’t like art, but she likes
music. She plays the guitar and she
often looks for music on her laptop.
Headteacher: Oh, that’s good! We need a guitar
player for our school band.
Parent: Great! When does the band meet?
Headteacher: After school on Wednesdays.
