Adopting Rental Rates for Various Facilities


of the Parks and Recreation Department, East Gadsden Community Center,
and The Venue

WHEREAS, the rental rates for various facilities of Parks & Recreation were adopted by
Resolution Number R-
485-
16; amended by Resolution Number R-
231-
17, Resolution Number R-

18,Resolution Number R-
132- 18,and Resolution Number R-
490- 464-
19; and

WHEREAS, certain pricing changes and combination packages have been added and the

pricing structures attached as Exhibit " A",


Exhibit " B",
and Exhibit " C"need to be adopted;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GADSDEN,

ALABAMA, that the rates and regulations set out in the attachment are hereby adopted as of

2022, and replace any and all previous resolutions.

No Community Center will be rented past 10:00 pm, except Carver Complex which is
permitted until midnight and security is required for any rental after 7:

charges are $ 35 per hour with 3 hour minimum. Management reserves the right to

assign the number of officers needed to manage the event. Security will be $ 50 per
officer starting at midnight and each hour after.

Security will be required for any party in which teenagers ( ages 13-
18)
outnumber adults in attendance.

Carver Center will be provided for class reunions based on five-year increments
35th, 40th, 45th, etc.) for July 4th week on a first come, first serve basis.

All rental rates for ALL facilities will double when booked on city holiday.

A damage deposit of $ 200 will be required for reservations at the following facilities:

Events with alcohol at these facilities ( Pitman, 210, DTCC) will require $ 500 damage
deposit.

A damage deposit is collected in the event damage is done to the property during an
event. This will include but not limited to: walls, floors, ceilings, doors, chairs, tables and
other furnishings
property/ inside the facility.

If no damages are reported:


If credit card be used, the deposit will not be
