ADDITION OF FRACTIONS
1.) 1/2+1/2=1/4
Explaination: To ADD fractions with like or the same denominator, simply add the
numerators then copy the common denominator. Always reduce your final answer to its
lowest term. In this problem, copy one then add the denominator two which gives us
Four.
2.) 1/3+1/4=7/12
Explaination: To add fractions with unlike denominators, start by finding the least
common multiple for the denominators. Then, divide the least common multiple by the
denominator in each fraction. Take the number you get for each fraction and multiply it by
the numerator and denominator of that fraction, which will make both denominators equal
to the least common multiple. The least common multiple of 3 and 4 is 12. Divide twelve to
both denominators then multiply to both denominators .
3.) 1/6+3/6=2/3.
Explaination: To ADD fractions with like or the same denominator, simply add the
numerators then copy the common denominator. Always reduce your final answer to its
lowest term. In this case, we simplify the answer because 4 and 6 can still be reduced to
Lowest term,so we divide it into 2 to simplify the answer.
4.) 2/3+3/5=19/15 or 1 4/15.
The least common multiple of 3 and 5 is 15, then divide the
LCM to both denominators and multiply the answer to both numerators.
5.) 3/4+1/4=1
Expaination: To ADD fractions with like or the same denominator, simply add the
numerators then copy the common denominator. Always reduce your final answer to its
lowest term. In this problem, we add 3 and I which gives us 4 and copy the
Denominator 4 then we simplify it giving us 1.
ADDITION OF DECIMALS
1.) 1.02+1.058=2.078
Explaination:  Line up the decimal points of the numbers you're adding.
Whenever you add decimals, write each number on a separate line, in one vertical
stack. Always line up the decimal points, so each digit in a column has the same
place value. In this case, we align .02 to .05 then add and bring down 8.
2.) 3.78+6.3=10.08
Explaination:  Line up the decimal points of the numbers you're adding.
Whenever you add decimals, write each number on a separate line, in one vertical
stack. Always line up the decimal points, so each digit in a column has the same
place value. In this problem, we line up .7 and .3.After that, we bring down
8 and add all the numbers.
3.) 6.008+5.98=11.988
Explaination:  Line up the decimal points of the numbers you're adding.
Whenever you add decimals, write each number on a separate line, in one vertical
stack. Always line up the decimal points, so each digit in a column has the same
place value. In this case, we align .00 and .98, bring down 8 and add all the numbers.
5.) 9.8+6.1=15.9
Explaination: Line up the decimal points of the numbers you're adding.
Whenever you add decimals, write each number on a separate line, in one
vertical stack. Always line up the decimal points, so each digit in a column has
the same place value. In this problem, we line up .8 and .1 then add all the
numbers.
6.) 10.989+56.907=67.896
Explaination: Line up the decimal points of the numbers you're adding.
Whenever you add decimals, write each number on a separate line, in one vertical
stack. Always line up the decimal points, so each digit in a column has the same
place value. With this problem, we align .989 and .907 then add all the numbers.

SUBTRACTION OF DECIMALS AND FRACTIONS:

1.) 3/7-2/7=1/7
Explaination/Solution: If fractions with same denominators are to
be subtracted, we need to subtract the numerators only and keep the same
denominator. We subtract the numerators. We keep the common denominator. Then
the Difference of the fractions. In this case, we subtract 3 from 2 and copy the
denominator 7.
2.) 3/4-2/4=1/4
Explaination/Solution: If fractions with same denominators are to
be subtracted, we need to subtract the numerators only and keep the same
denominator. We subtract the numerators. We keep the common denominator. Then
the Difference of the fractions. With this problem, we subtract 3 from 2 and keep 4 as
our final denominator.
3.) 5.10-3.27= 1.83
Explaination/Solution:To subtract decimals, follow these steps: Write down
the two numbers, one under the other, with the decimal points lined up. Add zeros so the
numbers have the same length; Then subtract normally, remembering to put
the decimal point in the answer. With this problem, we line up the decimals according to
it’s groupings and then subtract.
4.) 430.43-6.58= 423.85
Explaination/Solution:To subtract decimals, follow these steps:
Write down the two numbers, one under the other, with the decimal points lined up.
Add zeros so the numbers have the same length; Then subtract normally,
remembering to put the decimal point in the answer. In this case we line up decimals
according to their group and then subtract.

5.) 3.3-3.3=0
Explaination/Solution:To subtract decimals, follow these steps:
Write down the two numbers, one under the other, with the decimal points lined up.
Add zeros so the numbers have the same length; Then subtract normally,
remembering to put the decimal point in the answer. In this case we line up decimals
according to their group and then subtract.

MULTIPLICATION OF FRACTIONS AND DECIMALS:

1.) (1/6)(3/4)=1/8
Explaination/Solution: To multiply fractions, multiply the top numbers (the numerators ). Then
Multiply the bottom numbers (the denominators ). And lastly, simplify the fraction if needed. With this case,
we multiply 1 to 3 and 6 to 4, then we simplify the answer.

2.) (3/8)(6/5)=9/20
Explaination/Solution: To multiply fractions, multiply the top numbers
(the numerators ). Then Multiply the bottom numbers (the denominators ).
And lastly, simplify the fraction if needed. With this case, we multiply 1 to 3 and 6 to 4,
then we simplify the answer. In this problem, we multiply 3 and 6 and also 8 and 5.
Then we simplify the answer.
3.) 3.5x2.6=9.1
Explaination/Solution: To multiply decimals, first multiply as if there is no decimal.
Next, count the number of digits after the decimal in each factor. Finally, put the same number
of digits behind the decimal in the product. With this problem we multiply 3.5 to 2.6 and
then count the number of decimals of both sides and applied to the answer.
4 .) (4/3)(1/2)=2/3
Explaination/Solution: To multiply fractions, multiply the top numbers (the
numerators ). Then Multiply the bottom numbers (the denominators ). And lastly, simplify
the fraction if needed. In this problem, we multiply 4 to 1 and the same also to 3 and to 2
then we simplify the answer.

5.) 2.3x6.8=15.64
Explaination/Solution: To multiply decimals, first multiply as if there is no
decimal. Next, count the number of digits after the decimal in each factor. Finally,
put the same number of digits behind the decimal in the product.
With this case, we multiply all the numbers and count the number of decimal points and
apply it to the answer.

DIVISION OF DECIMALS AND FRACTIONS:

1.) 3/11÷5/7=21/55
Explaination/ Solution:Turn the second fraction upside down, then multiply.
After that, if possible simplify the answer. In this problem,
We reciprocate 5/7 which gives us 7/5 then multiply it.

4.) 6.7÷2.3=2.91
Explaination/Solution: To divide a decimal by another decimal, first make the

moving the decimal point to the right .We multiply the number before the division sign by the
same amount, moving its decimal point the same number of places.

5.) 24.6÷12.3=2
Explaination/Solution: To divide a decimal by another decimal, first make the
number after the division sign a whole number. We do this by multiplying it by 10, 100, 1000 etc.,
moving the decimal point to the right .We multiply the number before the division sign by the
same amount, moving its decimal point the same number of places.
