Transaction registers, inventory control Accounts receivable, accounts payable To select the entire document
under EXCEL Click CTRL +A To re arrange the data in ascending or descending order Data, Sort has to be selected In
order to perform a calculation in a spread sheet, you need to use formula Press F7 key to check spelling
The tabs that appear at the bottom of each work book is called Sheet tabs The EXCEL automatically completes the text entries
that match an existing entry in the same column. If an Excel Worksheet is to be linked for use in a Power Point presentation,
Edit, Paste should be clicked When you enter text in a cell in Excel, it also appears it appears in FORMULA bar
MACRO: A macro is a set of programming instructions stored in what is known as VBA code that can used to eliminate the

3. Intra-Day Liquidity (IDL) facility shall be made available to facilitate smooth operations. The Intra-Day

TOKENISATION - CARD TRANSACTIONS
“Tokenisation- Card transactions”, permitting authorised card networks to offer card tokenisation
services subject to the conditions listed therein.
Tokenization is the process of turning sensitive data into non-sensitive data called “tokens” that can be used in a
Compiled by Sanjay Kumar Trivedy, Divisional Manager, Canara Bank, Regional Office, Nagpur -1 8|P a g e
database or internal system without bringing it into scope. Tokenization can be used to secure sensitive data by replacing
the original data with an unrelated value of the same length and format. The tokens are then sent to an organization’s
internal systems for use, and the original data is stored in a secure token vault. Unlike encrypted data, tokenized data is
undecipherable and irreversible. This distinction is particularly important because there is no mathematical relationship
between the token and its original number, tokens cannot be returned to their original form.
To enable cardholders to benefit from the security of tokenised card transactions as also the convenience of Conflict.
RBI has decided to effect the following enhancements:
a) Extend the device-based tokenisation framework.
b) Permit card issuers to offer card tokenisation services as Token Service Providers (TSPs).
c) The facility of tokenisation shall be offered by the TSPs only for the cards issued by / affiliated to them.
d) The ability to tokenise and de-tokenise card data shall be with the same TSP.
e) Tokenisation of card data shall be done with explicit customer consent requiring Additional Factor of
Authentication (AFA) validation by card issuer.
Further, in the interest of clarity, the following points may be noted:
a) With effect from January 1, 2022, no entity in the card transaction / payment chain, other than the
card issuers and / or card networks, shall store the actual card data. Any such data stored previously shall be purged.
b) For transaction tracking and / or reconciliation purposes, entities can store limited data - last four
digits of actual card number and card issuer’s name - in compliance with the applicable standards.
c) Complete and on-going compliance with the above by all entities involved, shall be the responsibility of the card
networks.
Regulation of Payment Aggregators and Payment Gateways Payment Aggregators (PAs) and Payment Gateways (PGs)
are intermediaries playing an important function in facilitating payments in the online space. RBI decided on 17.3.20 to
regulate in entirety, the activities of PAs and PGs.
Payment Aggregators: These are entities that facilitate e-commerce sites and merchants to accept various payment
instruments from the customers without the need for merchants to create a separate payment integration system of
their own.
Payment Gateways are entities that provide technology infrastructure to route and facilitate processing of an online
payment transaction without any involvement in handling of funds. These are considered as ‘technology providers’ or
‘outsourcing partners’ of banks or non-banks. In processing of an online transaction the following timelines are involved
a) ‘Tp’ – date of charge / debit to the customer’s account against the purchase of goods / services. b) ‘Ts’ – date of
intimation by the merchant to the intermediary about shipment of goods. c) ‘Td’ – date of confirmation by the merchant
to the intermediary about delivery of goods to the customer and d) ‘Tr’ – date of expiry of refund period as fixed by the
merchant. The guidelines are not applicable to Cash on Delivery e-commerce model. Authorisation: Banks do not require
it from RBI. But non-bank PAs require authorisation from RBI. PA should be a company created as per Companies Act,
1956 / 2013. Existing non-bank entities offering PA services can also seek authorisation. Entities seeking authorisation as
PA from the RBI shall apply along with a ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their respective regulator, within 45 days of
obtaining such a clearance.
Capital Requirements: Existing PAs (as on 17.3.20) shall achieve a net-worth of Rs.15 crore by March 31, 2021 and a net-
worth of Rs.25 crore by the end of third financial year, i.e., on or before March 31, 2023. The net-worth of Rs.25 crore
shall be maintained at all times thereafter. New PAs shall have a minimum net-worth of Rs.15 crore at the time of
application for authorisation and shall attain a net-worth of Rs.25 crore by the end of third financial year of grant of
authorisation. The net-worth of Rs.25 crore shall be maintained at all times thereafter.
Governance: PAs shall appoint a Nodal Officer responsible for regulatory and customer grievance handling functions. PAs
shall prominently display details of the nodal officer on their website. Further, Provisions of Prevention of Money
Laundering Act, 2002 and Rules framed thereunder, as amended from time to time, shall also be applicable.
Merchant On-boarding: PAs shall be responsible to check Payment Card Industry-Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) and
Payment Application-Data Security Standard (PA-DSS) compliance of the infrastructure of the merchants on-boarded.
Merchant site shall not save customer card and such related data. A security audit of the merchant may be carried out to
check compliance, as and when required. Settlement and Escrow Account Management 1) Non-bank PAs shall maintain
the amount collected by them in an escrow account with any scheduled commercial bank. 2) Amounts deducted from the
customer’s account shall be remitted to the escrow account maintaining bank on Tp+0 / Tp+1 basis. The same rules shall
apply to the non-bank entities where wallets are used as a payment instrument. 3) No interest shall be payable by the
bank on balances maintained in the escrow account, except when the PA enters into an agreement with the bank
maintaining the escrow account, to transfer “core portion” of the amount, in the escrow account, to a separate account
on which interest is payable. 4) No loan is permissible against such deposits. Banks shall not issue any deposit receipts or
mark any lien on the amount held in such form of deposits. Security, Fraud Prevention and Risk Management Framework:
PAs shall submit the System Audit Report, including cyber security audit conducted by CERT-In empanelled auditors,
within two months of the close of their financial year to the respective Regional Office of DPSS, RBI
