The aims and purpose of this book
~'if your child can write and add numbers, this book of sub1raciion will
expose him or her to the broader world of numbers. The ability to
subtract numbers from other whole numbers cannot be acquired through
mere repetition. In this workbook, children begin the learning experience
by repeatedly tracing and reciting numbers both forwards and
backwards. Then they gradually shift from subtracting 1 from whole
numbers to subtracting 5. By breaking this difficult skill into manageable
units, this workbook helps children easily learn concepts without stress.

~'Mastering basic subtraction is vital to understanding lhe declmal
