The present continuous (it can also be called present progressive) is basically
formed by conjugating the auxiliary verb ‘to be’ in the present tense and the
corresponding verb in the continuous form.

The Present Continuous Formula: to be [am, is, are] + verb [present participle]
affirmative interrogative negative
I am playing Am I playing? I am not playing

he/she/it is playing is h/she/it playing? he/she/it isn’t


playing

we are playing are we playing? we aren’t playing

you are playing are you playing? you aren’t playing

they are playing are they playing? they aren”t playing


2.usage
1. The present continuous is used to show that an ongoing action is happening now.
2. we use the present continuous to say that we are in the process of doing a longer
action which is in progress; however, we might not be doing it at this exact second.
3. The present continuous is used, when we talk about changes.
4. The present continuous is used to indicate that something will or will not happen in the
near future.(something that is planned)
5. The present continuous with words such as "always" or "constantly" expresses the
idea that something irritating or shocking often happens.

You can use “think” in pr.continuous, when you mean or are going to
do something .
Can’t use belong, own, owe, possess
If “have” expresses belong you can’t use it in pr.continuous
