    Q1. from the given data calculate the dam top level

    For the dam, the following data’s are provided:

    Normal pool level (NPL) = 3198.00 masl.


    Lowest river bed level = 3179.00 masl.
    Water depth over the spillway=0.92m (from flood routing)

    Wind velocity , v=14.4km/hr, (from near by rmetrological agency to


    the dam site),
    Fetch length, F=0.665km,

    Determine the dam top level.


    Consider settlement allowance of 2%.
