STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:

1. What is the level of functionality of the school governing council in terms of:
a. organizing of programs, projects, and activities;
b. network and linkages;
c. school improvement;
d. students and teachers’ development?
2. What is the school’s performance in the school-based management level of
practice?
3. Is there a significant relationship between the level of functionality of the
school governing council and school’s performance in the SBM level of
practice?

STATEMENT OF HYPOTHESIS:
There is no significant relationship between the level of functionality of the
school governing council and school’s performance in the SBM level of practice.

RESEARCH DESIGN
Descriptive-Correlational Design

TARGET RESPONDENTS:
Selected SGC Officers from 9 Public Secondary Schools in Calapan City

SAMPLING TECHNIQUE:
Random Sampling Technique

RESEARCH INSTRUMENT:
Survey Questionnaire and Hard Data (Ratings from SBM- SY2019-2021)

Weighted Mean, Frequency, Percentage, and Pearson’s r
