Campus Visit Reflection

Name of campus: Cal State Long Beach

In-person OR virtual tour: Virtual tour
Date visited: 1/20/2022

1. Describe the campus. What was your overall impression, or feeling, about this campus?
The campus feels very open and also feels like a safe place to go to school. It states all the
open and helpfulness that the teachers will provide you with, such as help with school work
or just someone to talk to. Overall I believe the campus is very open and safe

2. Can you imagine yourself attending this campus, or one like it? Why or why not?
I believe I would like this campus because of how friendly it seems and the beach isn't too
far. DisneyLand is pretty close as well. I really like the campus because it has open fields, a
lot of trees, and gives off a friendly environment feeling to it and it makes me want to go
there even more.

3. What did you like best about this campus? Explain.

I like that it's close to so many things and how open the campus is. It's over 322 acres so
there's alot to explore. The campus also has a lot of famous skate spots so being able to see
it all in person and live around them would be amazing.

4. What did you like least about this campus? Explain.

There wasn't really anything about the campus I didn't like. I would say it will be challenging
if I have to walk to the other side of the campus for my next class due to how big it is.

5. What would you like to know more about? Explain.

I would like to know more about how the dorms work and what dorm life is like. I feel like it
can get confusing with how it's set up. I want to be able to have space for my stuff and still
be in a good spot so I can get to my class without a struggle.

6. How will your visit affect your future plans? Will you apply to this campus (or one like it)?
Why or why not? I will get to see the place in first person and see how the school is and
how the people are. I would like to apply to this school. I like the school not only for the
learning environment and surrounding area, but the variety of things to do on the campus.
