Campus Visit Reflection

Name of campus: San Diego Mesa College

In-person OR virtual tour: Virtual Tour

Date visited: Feb 1, 2022

1. Describe the campus. What was your overall impression, or feeling, about this campus?

It looks very nice, big, and very open. Also, the impression it left me was good because it showed me that there is more to learn about. In addition, the people that

were there seemed respectful, so it is most likely a friendly environment.

2. Can you imagine yourself attending this campus, or one like it? Why or why not?

Not really, because I am not really considering going into college. I am not planning to go there because I have other things planned already and won’t have time to

complete or even start college. I am deciding not to go not because I don’t want to learn, it’s just because I have more important things to do.
3. What did you like best about this campus? Explain.

There are many option courses and things you can study. Also, the clubs and activities you can do like sports which it seems like they view are important due to the

equipment there and field. The variety of courses is also good because they are many options you can choose about which make it easy to find one that you are

interested
4. What did you like least about this campus? Explain.

One negative is that it doesn’t have a living there, which makes it difficult to go there. In my case it would be difficult to arrive since I live far from the campus and no

one I know lives there so it would be hard to get there as well as meet new people there. Also, although the people that we met were nice, I don’t know if all the

people will be the same and the environment is not guaranteed to be friendly overall.
5. What would you like to know more about? Explain.

I would like to learn more details about the clubs there, like what they do and if it’s required to join one. For example, in the case of soccer, do you have to have

experience to join or can you join without any idea of it. In addition, does it cost money to join a club like to enter or buy your own equipment or in some cases

clothes.
6. How will your visit affect your future plans? Will you apply to this campus (or one like it)? Why or why not?

The visit made me consider if I should go there, but I am not really planning to go to college because I have other things planned like mentioned before in question 2.

I like the campus we analyzed and the one I went to before due to the great modern designs there but the time it takes to do each class and the cost as well makes

me doubt if I should. Of course, I don’t know if later on my plans change because of life but for now I don’t think I will go.
