1) INTRODUCTION
Agricultural finance generally means studying, examining and analyzing the financial
aspects pertaining to farm business, which is the core sector of rural areas the financial
aspects include money matters relating to production of agricultural products and
their disposal. . Finance as “an economic study of borrowing funds by farmers, the
organization and operation of farm lending agencies and of society’s interest in credit for
agriculture. Finance “as a branch of agricultural economics, which deals with and
financial resources related to individual farm units. Agricultural finance can be dealt at
both micro level and macro level. Macro-finance deals with different sources of raising
funds for agriculture as a whole in the economy. It is also concerned with the lending
procedure, rules, regulations, monitoring and controlling of different agricultural
credit institutions. Hence macro- finance is related to financing of agriculture at
aggregate level.

2) RESEARCH PROBLEM

A study of agricultural financing and Financial planning complex strategic problem for
individual, individual farmer, financial institution. There are various reason for the
present poor condition of farmer. The finance provided when it needed is the very
important for the farmer as the chain of events is there for the ultimate crop production
and then the benefits to the farmer hence the problem related to the Agriculture finance is
formulated as the topic area for the study hence the title “A Study of Agriculture
Finance in Vidharbha”

The research problem undertaken for study must be carefully selected. The task is
a difficult one, although it may not appear to be so. Help may be taken from a research
guide in this connection. Never the less, every researcher must find out his own
salvation for research problems cannot be borrowed. In this research it is necessary
identify Financial problem of farmer at the time land cultivation. How non-financial
institutions play the role of farmer life.

Research Objectives

The purpose of research is to discover answer of question through the application of


scientific procedures. The main aim of research is to find out the Truth which is
hidden and which has not been discovered as yet. So, to study this, as a researcher
choose this topic and will decide for objective.

3) OBJECTIVES OF STUDY

1) To study the productive needs of agricultural finance.

2) To check the awareness of the farmer towards financial sources.

3) To know the preference of farmer towards financial sources.

4) To check the financial position & needs of farmers

4) SCOPE OF STUDY
The scope of the study is as follow:

This research is useful for general farmer as well as researcher to study of


agriculture finance in Vidharbha.

5) RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Collection of primary and secondary data – Primary data was collected from well-
structured questionnaire and secondary data was collected from books, magazines
and website, newspapers etc.

 Primary data collection:


The primary data were collected through questionnaire as per the given sampling
design.
 Secondary data collection:
Secondary data were collected from books website and various report etc.

b) Sampling
A) Sampling Universe
The purpose of this study to find out agriculture financing through the banking habits of
farmer of unorganized sector. Universe of study was finite, because researcher has study
about A Study of agriculture financing in rural area related to Vidharbha.

B)Sampling Unit
Farmer included in rural area related to Vidharbha.

C) Sampling Size

Total sample size was of 100 respondents. Sample included rural area of Vidharbha.

D) Sampling Technique:

Sampling technique used for selection of sample was ‘Non Probability Convenience
Sampling’ Technique.

Methodology

The completion of research involved three phases. They are

First Phase – Collection of primary and secondary data – Primary data was collected
from well-structured questionnaire and secondary data was collected from books,
magazines and website, newspapers etc.

Second Phase – Actual primary data collection, edition and tabulation of data.by direct
personal observation.

Third Phase – Data analysis using statistical tools, inference, conclusion, and
suggestions based on data collected edition and tabulation of data.

6) LIMITATION OF STUDY

1. The study will be limited to rural area. As such the finding of the study may not be
totally applicable to other cities.
2. The study will be limited for farmer of rural Sector in Vidharbha.
3. Time period for the study is very short

7) CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION

 Most of the respondents having agriculture finance.


 Most of the farmer age group between 21-30 year those having agriculture finance.
 Majority of respondents are SSC background because 36 respondents
are completing SSC education.
 Only 4% post-graduation respondents wanted finance for agricultural purpose.
 Large number of respondents they borrowed money in slot of 40000Rs-
60000Rs. out of other slot.
 Nationalize bank is best option for borrowing money.
 Most of the respondents wanted to loan for preparation of farm or cultivation of
land.
 Majority of respondents 45% respondents aware about the crop loan.
 Only 5% respondents know Gold Crop Loan.
 Large number of respondents get a loan mortgage basis.
 the majority of respondents 62% respondents give the land for mortgage basis

SUGGESTION

 There must be needed to attract the all age group for agriculture financing.

 At the villager levels farmer need to take loan from organize financial institution
rather than individual money lenders. For that purpose financial institution must
organize seminars village level to influence farmers to take loan from them. 
Most of the farmers take a loan at the time of land cultivation in summer
season, so financial institution carried out different programmed to tell facilities
and benefit offering by their institution.
 Most of the respondents are not aware about gold crop loan and kisan credit card
so financial institution should spread awareness regarding this schemes.
 There are communication gap between the farmers and financial institution so
there is need to communicate in their regional language by taking in to
consideration to them. For that purpose financial institution can recruit local
graduate persons.
 There need to be sophisticated documentation process for the convenience
of farmers because most of the farmers don’t take loan due to the
lengthy documentation process.
