1. PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE AND OSERVATIONS

In previous lessons students have been completing their projects. The students have come to a stage
where they are now fairly spread out and across the board. Some of the students have made
mistakes and thus are now a small bit behind everyone. I think it is fair to say that all the students
have complete their mortise and tenon joints to a fairly high standard across the board.

Some of the students struggled with keeping their saw cuts straight, this therefore caused their joints
to be a little loose.

All of the students have marked out the Bridle Joints and about 70% of the students if not a bit more
have processed their joints.

Some students have now moved onto their new joints and have started marking out there joints. So
that they can be processed on the mortise machine.

2. LESSON RATIONALE

Students will be sanding down pieces when they have marked out the new joints. RL
