The document outlines 6 rules for students to follow during virtual classroom sessions: 1) Be ready to learn by being dressed and out of bed, 2) Find a quiet distraction-free place to work, 3) Sign in on time and contact the teacher if there are login issues, 4) Keep your video on at all times so the teacher can see you, 5) Stay muted unless raising your hand to speak and only use chat when instructed, 6) Stay focused on tasks and participate in discussions. Attendance will be taken twice daily as during a normal school day.

Parents, Just as we would have rules and expectations in the school classrooms, we will also have rules to follow while we are in our virtual classrooms. Below are the expectations for our students.
1. Be out of bed and dressed so you are ready to learn.
2. Find a quiet place free from distractions (no TV, toys, video games, pets, siblings, etc. that might distract you from your learning). 3. Sign in and be ready to go on time. If you are having issues logging in, email the teacher right away. 4. Your video must be on at all times during the meeting so that the teacher can interact with you and you can all see each other. 5. Stay on mute. Raise your hand when you want to speak. Only use “chat” when the teacher asks you to answer a question that way OR if there is something wrong with your connection. 6. Stay on task and stay focused. Participate in the discussion. 7. The more routine, the better! Please remember that school is “in session” even though we are online! Attendance will be taken twice each day, just as we do during our normal school day. We Can Do This!!!
