Reflection during the quarantine period.

The coronavirus has changed the way we live. as a college student, many changes have taken place and
we need to adjust to the new normal. At waking time, bedtime and especially our study habits, but there is
an affiliation with everything wherein it is an online class. This pandemic improves me a lot and I'd
discovered a part of me that I haven't discovered before.

“this pandemic did come with a few silver linings, most of us soon realized it was not the material things
we missed but the human contact. We craved for the company of others, joyful conversations, hearty
laughs, and strong hugs. In the end, that’s what mattered most and that’s what life is all about”.

“There is good in every evil”. A simple short sentence, but still so powerful! This is just one perspective
of a young girl who is going through the same thing as many others. So don’t forget, you’re never alone!
This pandemic, taught me to love, to listen, to care, to respect ,to help and most specially Taking care of
myself which is something so underestimated nowadays. Whether due to a lack of time or due to too
much stress in everyday life or for a whatever reason, people don’t devote enough time to themselves.
During the pandemic, I’ve had a lot of time to think and realize that actually taking care of myself is one
of the things that makes me happy. I mean little things that I believe are available to everyone. These little
things are actually the ones that help me find myself.

The biggest challenge for me has been admitting that it’s okay to not be productive. To see empty time as
a friend rather than something to stuff with another activity. I realized that I must not pressure myself
with the academic stuffs, I must not stress myself about the deadlines, activities, quizzes and exams.

Quarantine has taught me that I can sit in the present, take more breaks, and still be fine. Quarantine has
gifted me with an abundance of time, and I now see that in my normal life, there was actually plenty of it
that I would push off. Admittedly, quarantine life isn’t normal
Corona virus has proved that everything around us is temporary. Things our lives revolved around,
work, gym, malls, movies, society have all gone for a toss as we are learning to live without them. It has
taught us that in the end, it’s our own home and family that keeps us safe.

“we are in this together, and we will get through this, together”.
“if the pandemic is interfering with your goal, don’t give up. Just put it on hold until things are back to
normal”,
