Q1. The poet mentions various types of sports that the grandma excels in. Mention
some of these.
Ans: Grandma excels in athletics, archery, taekwondo and table tennis. She has
mastered the canoe and trampoline and excels in diving too. She’s the best at lifting
weights, high jumps and hammer throwing. She also excels at marathons, rowing,
boxing, pole vaulting, fencing and basketball.

Q2. What is the fact that makes grandma absolutely incredible?

Ans: The fact that makes grandma absolutely incredible is that she excels in all these
sports despite being in a wheelchair and using a walker.

Q1. How does the speaker (poet) view grandma? Pick at least four examples to support

Q2. This is funny, light hearted poem. What do you think makes the poem humorous?

Activity: Be a news reader: ( PODCAST)-

Students will be asked to clip a newspaper (NIE-E paper) with short pieces of news
in them. The students will read out the news pieces clearly, while the rest of the
class will listen attentively and jot down names, places, dates and other data that
seems important to them.

set of questions which they will answer as per their understanding of the
