Title of Project goes here

Body of text goes here. INSTRUCTIONS: You will be creating a page for
each of your beautiful color projects. When all the pages are complete you
will have them bound together to make your Color Concept Book. To get
a professional look you must adhere to the same layout and format through
out the book. The specifications are presented here. Read these
instructions carefully to be sure you understand them before you start. Ask
your instructor for help if you are confused.
The paper size will be 8.5” x 11”. This is standard “letter” size, like what
is used in copy machines. Use 65lb card stock. Paper, which is much
heavier than that, may get jammed in printers. The lay out should be
consistent through out the book. Your images should be placed above your
text. You may print a box out-line to help you place your images. Below
your image put your title, then the body of your text. The body of your
text should be 5 inches wide to match the width of the images you have
created for your book. The left margin must be 2.25 inches. The top and
right margins must be 1.25 inches and the bottom must be at least 1 inch.
If you have more text than can fit on one page, keeping a one inch space
on the bottom of the page, then you must continue on the back (or onto a
second page) keeping the same format.

You can create the text for you book pages in a word document. Some
students have started by copying and pasting the text prompts in the
downloadable assignment sheets. If you go that route, be sure to get rid of
anything, like underlines and italicized hints, which do not belong in your
finished book. Read everything over carefully to correct any mistakes and
use spell-check. When you have your text ready it is time to create a
Concept Book page.

Several Concept Book Page Templates are available in Doc Sharing.

There are Word Templates and PDF Templates available. The templates
have either a gray 5” x 5” square or the shorter rectangle needed for some
of the Simultaneous Contrast projects.

These templates do not seem to work on everyone’s computer. If one

doesn’t work for you try another. If you can’t get any of these to work
you can create your own with whatever program you have at your disposal
or you can even use these instructions as a template. (Down load the file
from Doc Sharing and just replace this text with yours.)

What ever you do, remember you must stick to the layout specifications
that have been provided in these instructions.

Don’t write you name on these pages when you turn them in for
evaluation, because it may be hard to erase it and that will look bad in
your finished book. Just put the page in the correct sleeve, in front of your
name, in the homework book and be sure you have your name on the
accompanying assignment sheet.
