4. Passengers must have a printed negative COVID-19 RT-LAMP or RT-PCR test taken at most 72 hours
before arrival. The test result must be in English and specify "negative" or "not detected".
6. Airline crew must make a medical declaration and are subject to self-isolation until their next flight.

Documentation required
Fully vaccinated travelers are exempt from pre-arrival RT-PCR test for arrival into Bangladesh.
Unvaccinated travelers to Bangladesh require a pre-arrival RT-PCR test result obtained ni more than 72
hours prior to departure.

Entry rules
Group A: Armenia/ Bulgaria, Estonia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Palestine, Romania,
Serbia, Slovenia, Ukraine.
-Vaccinated travellers: Travellers who have completed full dose(single/double dose as applicable for a full
dose) of a WHO approved COVID-10 vaccine before 14 days of the travel date can enter Bangladesh.
They must carry a official proof of vaccination and will have to complete a seven-day strict home
quarantine.
-Unvaccinated/Partially vaccinated travellers: Travellers who have not received the full dose
(single/double dose as applicable for a full dose) of a WHO approved COVID-19 vaccine can enter
Bangladesh. They will be required to observe a mandatory seven-day institutional quarantine at
government nominated facility or hotel at his/her own expenses. An RT-PCR test will be carried out
seven days after the arrival, and those passengers testing negative will be released.
For passengers arriving from 'Category B' Countries, the following restrictions are applicable:
-Vaccinated travellers: Travellers who have a completed full dose of WHO approved COVID-19 vaccine
and at least 14 days have passed since the last dose, may enter Bangladesh. Such travellers should be in
possession of their vaccination certificate and do not have to undergo any quarantine upon arrival.
-Unvaccinated/Partially vaccinated travellers: Travellers from Group B countries and who have not
completely vaccinated or not vaccinated are required to undergo 14-days of home quarantine.
All incoming passengers landing in Bangladesh (regardless of port of departure or vaccination status) are
required to carry negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test report undertaken within-72-hours of departure.
• All inbound passengers, except children below 12 years of age, are required to carry a negative
RT-PCR test certificate obtained within 48 hours of departure.
• Irrespective of the country group and vaccination status, those with COVID-19 symptoms will be
treated as per prevailing health protocols. They will be sent to government-authorised hospital
for further check-up and will be required to undergo seven days of isolation at government-
nominated facility or hotel at their own expense. RT-PCR test will ve carried out upon completion
of quarantine; they will be released on testing negative.
• Passengers below 18 years of age without vaccination and originating from any group of
countries can travel with their fully vaccinated family. They will have to observe the same health
formalities as those applying to their family members on arrival.
Entry rules:
Apart from the general entry guideline, all incoming passengers originated/transited/visited Botswana,
Eswatini, Ghana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe within the last 14 days, shall have to
complete a mandatory 14 (fourteen) days institutional quarantine at government nominated hostels at
passenger's own expenses. RT-PCR test, at passengers' own expenses, will be carried out on 7th and 14th
day of the quarantine.
Quarantine requirements
• Not vaccinated: seven days of institutional quarantine; RT-PCR test on completion of quarantine -
they will be released on testing negative.

Border Restrictions
India
Land borders with India are open. Benapole.Akhaura, Sonamasjid, Darshana and Burimari, Sheola,
Tamabil, Bhomra, Birol and Banglabandha are open for cross-border movement.
Border restrictions
Italy
Foreign nationals who have been in Bangladesh in the past 14 days are allowed to enter Italy exclusively
for health-, study- or work-related purposes. Such travellers must abide by the following guidelines prior
to their arrival:
• Provide a negative PCR or RAT result carried out within 72 hours prior to arrival.
Japan
Japan will restrict the entry of t ravellers who have been in Bangladesh at any point during the 14 days
before arrival.
UK
Passengers travelling from or who have transited Bangladesh are not permitted to travel to the UK.
Exit rules
Outbound air passengers above then years of age must undergo COVID-19 testing at a government-
approved facility within 72 hours prior to departure.
Testing requirements
A) Who needs to test? All outgoing passengers, except children below 10 years old, are required to carry
a negative PCR-RT COVID-19 test taken within 72-hours of departure.
