NEWSPAPER REPORT First para is a summary (5Ws), three
bullets 3 paras..make sure each
paragraph has one quote which is
converted from the passage. Do not copy
a dialogue which is given, create your
own quote
SPEECH Addressed to a live audience, make sure
you sound spoken, involve the audience
by asking questions, introduce humour if
the topic allows..you can also use non
sentences or single words (sparingly) to
add to the spoken tone. Avoid very long
complex sentences.
INTERVIEW Stick to the 3 original questions and do
not try to reframe them or add your own
questions. Sound spoken and add
interjections and questions to involve the
audience… Well! Let me think… Oh
really.. etc
