Mediation Strategy
The strategy would involve identifying and establishing areas where the team can
leverage its position to that favour Hogwarts during the negotiation, most important
points are flagged as follows:-
1. Securing supply of Wildfire
The country is suffering a health crisis and the situation is worsening with every day,
the immediate priority for Hogwarts would be to secure wildfire doses for its
population even if the supply is reduced and the rates are not subsidized. The reason
why it is likely is because even if a treaty is signed, Narnia remains a perpetual threat to
the security of the country, as there is news of Narnia building camps around borders
and intelligence has reported suspicion of an attack in following months and subsidy on
the weaponry can be negotiated as a leverage to strike a deal with Winterfell. The
strong military alliance that can be offered in addition to the deal can be a deal changer
since Hogwarts is militarily strong and has robust infrastructure.
2. Treaty execution
An important objective during the mediation process will be to make sure that the
treaty is abided by both the nations, the ability to maintain and execute the treaty is a
necessity.
3. Restoring the reputation of Hogwarts
The comments made by the Minister of Winterfell are defamatory in nature and cause
damage to the reputation of the state, however the distinction between the comment in
personal capacity and as the minister of Winterfell is highly negligible. Thus, the state
of Hogwarts seeks redress to the comment.

Division of Role
The Counsel will be dealing with any foreseeable legal issue and with the specifics of
treaty and will be guiding the client to make sound decisions. The Counsel will be
dealing with the decision that pertain to the state and will actively seek help to qualify
the decisions as sound.

Underlying Interests
1. To mitigate the damage caused to the country due to coronavirus on two
aspects, firstly, controlling and treating infection and secondly to provide
economic redress to the people.
2. To improve relationship between the two states and establish strong
interdependent alliance
3. To provide redress to the reputational damage done to the State of Hogwarts.
BATNA
1. Hogwarts would propose to pay a higher price for the vaccine, in return for
Winterfell supplying the entire 7 million doses of the vaccine within 3 months
and agreeing to buy the military supplies at the negotiated price.
2. Hogwarts would propose to extend strategic support along the Narnian border,
in return for Winterfell supplying entire 7 million doses at the negotiated price
and agreeing to buy military supplies at the negotiated price.

Other Party’s Interests

1. Vaccinating Winterfell citizens first is the top priority
2. Exploration of Financial Prospects for Wildfire
3. Securing military capabilities in case of a Narnian escalation.
4. Establishing a dialogue and improving relations with Hogwarts

Other Party’s BATNA

1. Winterfell would propose to supply 7 Million doses of Wildfire vaccine at a
renegotiated higher price, in return for Hogwarts supplying weaponry and
military vehicle at a 40% discounted rate.
2. Winterfell would propose to supply 7 Million doses of Wildfire vaccine over a
period of 12 Months as opposed to 6 months, in exchange for Hogwarts
extending military and strategic support along the Narnian border and
particularly in the territory of Aslan.
