oWhy?
o I like how the progressivism teaching style is more centered on the student and not just
going through course material.
o I like the thought of having class discussions and projects, even though these may be more
difficult in the younger grades.
o Not all kids are at the same education levels when starting school and they all need to be
challenged.
 Social Re-constructivism

• Curriculum is focused on the students’

experiences and aims for social
reconstruction.
• I liked this philosophy because it teaches
students how to take action and address

• Based on the theory that the soul purpose

of school is to teach necessary information.
• I think that there is core information that
should be taught to students in all
subjects.
Why Do I Want to Teach?
o I have always wanted to be a teacher.

o I enjoy being with younger kids, so I decided on

topics they struggle with makes teaching that much
