My ANCHOR Philosophy
o Progressivism
o Focused on the student, not the course material
o Active Learning
o Guided by Teacher

oWhy?
o I like how the progressivism teaching style is more centered on the student and not just
going through course material.
o I like the thought of having class discussions and projects, even though these may be more
difficult in the younger grades.
o Not all kids are at the same education levels when starting school and they all need to be
challenged.
Social Re-constructivism

• Curriculum is focused on the students’


experiences and aims for social

• I liked this philosophy because it teaches
students how to take action and address

• Based on the theory that the soul purpose

Why Do I Want to Teach?
o I have always wanted to be a teacher.
