ABSTRACT

The study is all about creating a research and development campus for the frugal
development of Tesla EV's and innovations by implementing the perspective on role
and synergies of architecture in enabling active healthy work environment. This campus
design explores the State of art in architectural form finding and material adaptability
with envisioning a sustainable solution as tesla aims to create in coming generation.
The study aims at creating a better working condition through reducing the load on
HVAC
Systems to keep up with tesla’s and Elons Musk’s thought

“The point of all this was, and remains, accelerating the advent of sustainable
energy, so that we can imagine far into the future and life is still good. That's
what 'sustainable' means. It's not some silly, hippy thing — it matters for
everyone.”

About Tesla
Tesla was founded in 2003 by a group of engineers who wanted to prove that people
didn’t need to compromise to drive electric – that electric vehicles can be better,
quicker and more fun to drive than gasoline cars. Today, Tesla builds not only all-
electric vehicles but also infinitely scalable clean energy generation and storage
products. Tesla believes the faster the world stops relying on fossil fuels and moves
towards a zero-emission future, the better.

environment as well as the health and comfort of building occupants
Frugal innovation has been an emerging concept with many manufacturing industries
that are keen on providing uncomplicated and cost effective products to emerging
markets where consumer demands vary significantly from western/developed
countries.

What is R&D
R&D represents the activities companies undertake to innovate and introduce new
products and services or to improve their existing offerings.
R&D allows a company to stay ahead of its competition.
To identify discontinuities and trends, as well as to initiate appropriate reactions, which
helps management make decisions when reacting to disruptions.
Apart from being a critical driver of economic growth, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)
has been a major non-debt financial resource for the economic development of India.
Foreign companies invest in India to take advantage of Demand, Human capital,
relatively lower wages, special investment privileges like tax exemptions, etc. As a
result, new job opportunities, more foreign investments and startups by youths that
depends these centers.
As an impact of globalization and policies like ‘Make In India’ and ‘Start up India’ ,
Foreign corporates tries to invest in countries like India and china for their innovative
growth along with the host country which helps to stay close to developed countries
For the last 20 years, R&D investment gives 7% growths in the Indian economy and the
country is anticipated a growth of 20 % in total by 2030.

AIM
A research and development campus for the frugal development of Tesla EV's and
innovations by implementing the perspective on role and synergies of architecture in
enabling active healthy work environment. This campus design explores the State of
art in architectural form finding and material adaptability with envisioning a
sustainable solution for future.

OBJECTIVES
Provide a platform for the collaboration of industry with Institution
To understand through architecture the importance of quality of space for better
working environment and the outcome.
To design a space or interaction of spaces which programmatically provide a sense of
collectivism.
To study the user requirements, spaces and the dynamic process of interaction.
To study and analyze the collected data and to plot a sustainable working environment.
To design a working space considering the psychological, aesthetic, social and
sustainable aspects of users.
To study innovative techniques and materials for a sustainable development

SCOPE

FEASIBILITY
As an impact of globalization and policies like ‘Make In India’ and ‘Start up India’s,
Foreign corporates tries to invest in countries like India and china for their innovative
growth along with the host country which helps to stay close to developed countries.
For the last 20 years, R&D investment gives 7% growths in the Indian economy and the

Bangalore is a well-developed city in the country and also known as Silicon Valley
because of the because of its role as the nation's leading information technology (IT)
exporter. Indian technological organizations are headquartered in the city. A
demographically diverse city, Bangalore is the second fastest-growing major
metropolis in India.

The city suffers significantly with dust pollution, hazardous waste disposal, and
disorganized, unscientific waste retrievals. The IT hub, the Whitefield region, is the
most polluted area in Bangalore. Recently a study found that over 36% of diesel
vehicles in the city exceed the national limit for emissions.

The deteriorating air quality in cities and its impact on public health is an area of
growing concern for city authorities. While much is already being done about collecting
and monitoring air quality data, little focus has been given on managing the impacts
that bad air quality is having on the health of citizens.

The city is an automobile hub. Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery, Mahindra

Electric, Bharat Earth Movers, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Ather Energy are headquartered
in Bangalore within their operations. Robert Bosch GmbH, Mercedes-
Benz, Volvo, General Motors, Royal Enfield, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter
India, Scania AB, Larsen & Toubro have their plants and research & development (R&D)
centers around Bangalore. ABB, General Electric, and Tyco International have their
research & development centers in Bangalore.
