Zonn sur la séance Cette séance s’étend sur 1h30. J’ai choisi de la découper afin de pouvoir intégrer ce
point culturel “ Saint Patrick’s day” dans la sequence London.
A ce stade les élèves ont découvert les endroits iconiques de Londres et leurs caréctéristiques.

Ainsi, pour introduire le thème de “Saint Patrick’s day”, je montre aux élèves Big Ben et London
Eye en vert. Il sont invités à réagir spontanément en produisant des phrases comme: “It’s London
Eye. It is green. ou “ I can see London Eye……”
Puis je note au tableau “Why is it green? Reason?

Deuxième étape: Je projète l’image du concert à Trafalgar square avec l’affiche “Mayor of London”

J’attends des réactions spontannées des élève comme: It’s Saint Patrcik’s day. There is a party/ a
Rappel oral : Irish from…….. et montrer l’Irlande sur la carte. ( anticipation orale : “Irish people love
legends”)

Ensuite, les élèves visionnent une video de …… mn pour découvrir l’aspect festif et culturel de Saint
Patrcik’s day et répondent , en binôme, aux wh-questions: who, where, when, what’s the event, ?
Une fiche différenciée est donnée aux plus faibles , qui contient des réponses à relier au mot
interrogatif correspondant.

Finalement, une mise en commun est faite par passage au tableau de certains élèves volontaires et
une trace écrite est notée en mettant l’accent sur: on+jour, in London, Irish, celebrate, sing, dance, a
parade.

En devoir maison, les élèves doivent revoir la trace écrite.
