Pastor’s Notes
I just wanted to say one last
time on behalf of our church
how grateful we are for the
sacrifice of untold men and women who
fought for the freedoms of this great
country. So many have given the ultimate
sacrifice of giving their lives. And many
are coming home having given the sacrifice
of an arm, leg, eyesight or hearing. All Americans should be forever thankful to be part
of such a great country!!!!!

I wanted to thank Terry Simmons and Kenneth Hand for

assisting me in providing the items I used as props during the
message. I know it took time and effort to do that, but it was
extremely effective in helping me to make the point of the
message. Thank you!!

We want to welcome a new member to our church. Wayne

Burgess has been attending here for many years, but finally
decided to unite with us. Wayne feels the call of God to be
used here at WCOG and membership provides him that
opportunity. Please make Wayne feel welcome!!!!! Several
others have expressed interest in joining but due to the
holiday, they were not in attendance. We are excited about
the prospects of our church growing and expanding!!!!!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that my family and I will be on vacation next week.
We will not be in church with you Sunday, but we will be in church, worshipping the
risen Savior. I ALWAYS appreciate those that let me know they are going to be out of
church. It so greatly assists us in making sure all our areas of ministry are covered as well
as helping us to know how best to pray for you. In return, I want to do the same thing. It
is my hope and prayer that you will ALL be present in the House of God Sunday and that
I will receive reports of a mighty moving of God. Nothing would make me happier. You
will be in good hands. Pastor Jason, Bro. Buster and Bro. Shealy will all be available to
assist you should you have a need. Thank you for allowing my family to take some time
to rest and to replenish ourselves. WE LOVE YOU!!!!!

Sunday night, June 12, we will be transferring our services to the Gray Court Church of God for
a District Pentecost Rally. We had a great time last year and wanted to do it again this year.
Make your plans to join with us for a great time of worship and the Word!!!!!!!

Father's Day Bulletin : Don’t forget the sign up has begun for the
Father‘s Day. Only $1.00 to honor or remember a special Father or
Man in your life!

Vanilla flavoring is one the way. We will have regular and

clear and the cost is $3.00 each

Youth Summer Kick Off - Jello and Water Wars - June 4, 5 to 9 @ PJ's House - Food will be
provided
Special thanks to the Pastor and Church Board for your support in helping SAM members
attend the Senior Adult Retreat at Mauldin this past weekend. We had 29 to register and
27 who attended. Everyone had a great time(especially Janet Sloan) as we met with more
than 1300 other seniors from across the State. Thanks also to Jeanne Nemitz, Sharon
Roskowski and Sandra Tucker for their hard work on our Poster. We think it was the best
one there even though the judges had a different point of view. You can see the Poster in
the lobby area through this Wednesday night service.

Anyone interested in our upcoming day trip needs to see Betty Ball as soon as possible.
She will be able to provide all the details.

KIDZ JAM!
We are very excited about Kidz Jam 2011. Kidz Jam is this Friday Night June 3. This is a
children's service that involves churches in our community and surrounding communities. We
want our kids to experience worshiping God together. Our theme is Jesus and Me. Praise and
Worship will be performed by Kevin Hand and his band. The speaker for this event will be Caleb
Stone. We believe that it is important for our kids to fellowship and worship with other kids in
this and other communities. Come see what it is like when it's just Jesus and Me!

The cost is five dollars per person. We will have t shirts and glow items for sale. There will be
door prizes and a chance to win a spot in the money machine. We hope you will come worship
with us at Kidz Jam 2011.
