2. What teaching methods or approaches you are going to introduce.

I will introduce the individualistic approach and the problem-centered approach

because accounting is a difficult course, so students must train themselves to study
individually and solve as many problems as they can. I cannot give all the available
information in one setting, but as a teacher, I can facilitate learning by providing the
student's resources and many activities. And after that, we can discuss the answers, and
they can ask questions on the topics that they do not understand (inquiry-based method).

3. How to facilitate inquiry teaching. What are its advantage. Explain thoroughly.
One way to facilitate inquiry-based teaching is to provide students with many
activities and problems to solve. In this way the inquisitive minds of the students will be
channelized in such a way that problems encourage them to reach for the solution, by
themselves. Teachers can also start the class by showing videos or presenting experiments.
Unlike traditional learning where the information is simply provided to the students,
inquiry-based teaching nurtures the critical and analytical minds of the students. The
advantage of this type of approach is that it promotes a deeper understanding of the
concept and helps students learn to take initiative.

4. Explain at least 5 principles of teaching.

a. Encourage contact between students and faculty - Good communication creates a
healthy and peaceful environment and develops trust and mutual respect. Teachers must
communicate with the students to identify their needs and how to cultivate their potentials.
These, in turn, will encourage students to be more engaged and have better grades. Also,
having a good relationship with the faculty will boost the teacher's confidence and self-
esteem.
b. Encourage active learning - Active learning promotes creativity and a deeper
understanding of the lessons, as students are engaged with the contents. Sitting and just
listening for long hours is draining the students, thus lessen their capability to absorb the
information. They have to be engaged in different activities such as role-playing, case
studies, debates, and many more.
c. Give prompt feedback - Feedback helps students improve their performance and
behavior. They could be able to reflect on what they have learned and what they still need
to know. It can also improve student's confidence, self-awareness, and enthusiasm for
learning.
d. Emphasize time on task - Students are not robots that can work 24 hours a day. They
need time for school as well as time to rest. Providing realistic deadlines could reduce
stress and improve student concentration on tasks. Time plus energy equals learning.
e. Respect diverse talents and ways of learning - No two people are alike. Students learn
in different ways. Some learn by seeing; others learn better by hearing; others need to
move to learn something new. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses as well as talents
and skills. Teachers need to recognize and respect that, by letting students showcase their
talent and choose their learning style.

5. Give at least 5 sample teaching strategies and techniques for accounting courses
that will bring the course in to the modern world and help students learn better.
a. Use PowerPoint presentation - It provides encouragement and support to staff by
facilitating the structuring of a presentation in a professional manner. It can also encourage
students to listen.

b. Case studies - A major advantage of case studies is that the students are actively
engaged in figuring out the principles by abstracting from the examples. It can develop
their analytical skills.

c. Engage in games - Playing games in the classroom increases overall motivation. By

playing games, students become more motivated to learn, pay attention and participate in
set tasks.

d. Peer tutoring - Peer tutoring allows for higher rates of student response and feedback,
which results in better academic achievement.

e. Create personal budget - This can help students reinforce the concepts learned in class
and help them plan better for their future.
