is 20Kgs and 116 cms tall. She attends school and
practice her routine 4 to 5 hours a day, six days a week.
She is currently preparing for a regional competition of

Briefly discuss the nature of the patient’s health situation
and discuss the Group’s nutritional plan and interventions.
Identify the health risks that the patient may have.

ANSWER:
6 year old Liu Sha, is a student and an athlete. She is a ballroom
dancer and is currently preparing for a regional competition of latin
dances. She weighs 20kgs and 116 cm tall which results to a
normal/healthy BMI. As an athlete, Liu Sha needs a healthy diet in
order to maintain her healthy lifestyle and a normal BMI. Good
eating habits can lessen recovery time from strains, help with
growth of lean muscle, and repair soft tissue from injuries. Eating
the right balance of food can improve concentration, focus, and
increase energy.
ANSWER:
Maintain a healthy diet, blood sugar level, and gain control over
an appetite by enjoying 3 healthy meals a day and 2 nutritious
snacks in between. Each meal should include a good source of
protein. Choices of protein can include chicken, fish, nuts, and
low-fat dairy. Consume 5-6 portions of fruits and vegetables each
day Choose a healthier carbohydrate. Instead of breads, cereal,
and pasta with white carbohydrates; go for whole & multi grains.

Most importantly, stay hydrated throughout the day – drink plenty of

since she is practicing 4 to 5 hours a day, 6 days in a week. She may be
risk of losing weight. That is why she needs a healthy diet. She may also
be risk of strains. Strains in the neck are common in ballroom dancing
because of not maintaining proper head tilt during dancing. Risk of ankle
sprains. Ankle sprains are one of the most common acute dance injuries.
Often occurring as a result of overstretching the ankle ligaments by
extending the joint beyond its normal range of motion. risk of cartilage
tears. Cartilage is found in many areas of the body, but dancers are
most likely to experience cartilage tears around the knees, particularly
meniscus tears.

li sha's diet should consist of about 55–60% carbohydrate, 12–15% protein


and 20–30% fat. As carbohydrate is the major energy source for muscles,
during particularly heavy training and rehearsing, the amount of
carbohydrate should be increased to about 65%.
