Understanding:

1. What does Helen Keller say she would do on her first day with sight? the second day? the third day?

Answer: In the first day she will look at her friends faces and imprint them in her mind she would also
like to read books and look at her dogs, in the second day she will wake up early just to watch the
sunrise and watch the buildings or go to the museum to watch the history of the world and spend her
nights watching movie in theater. The third day she went outside the city to watch and observe people's
daily lives.

2. What does Helen think the sense of sight might convey to her on the second day that her sense of
touch could not?

Answer: The joy of watching the sun rising early in the morning and visit a museum that she can see how
the history of man are made and watch the beautiful arts that only the Sense of sight can convey.

3. What does Helen think she would learn from her activities on the third day?

Answer: She will learn how people do their work and the different kinds of emotions they show, she will
also learn about the different style a woman can dress in different colors.

4. What statement about the condition of blindness does Helen Keller make in the opening paragraph of
the essay? On what personal experiences does she base this view?

Answer: If people became blind or deaf it would be a blessing because they will understand how scary
darkness is and will make them appreciate the sight and sound they see and hear. She made this
statement because she is blind and it made her wanting to see the sight of the world she couldn't see.

Answer: The essay is about how to appreciate the sight that every people have because for the blind
people a sense of sight is everything they can asked for so people should appreciate everything they see,
hear or touch when you're lucky enough to have all senses.

Writing a Personal Account

Think about all the activities you do in normal day.

Everyday I wake up early and do my daily chores I cook food for my family and after that I get ready to
go to my part time work to support me in my daily needs in college. I do different kinds of sidelines like
tutoring kids everyday or work as on call in the STL booth. In the evening I study and do all my modules
because I don't have time in the morning doing different kinds of job just to earn.
