How Anecito (victim) was watching neighbors engaged
in a card game when the suspect, armed with a
knife, stabbed the victim dead.

Ababon (suspect) went out of his house carrying

a knife, and then attacked Anecito, who was
engrossed with the card game.

The suspect surrendered, admitted committing

the crime and said in vernacular, “at last he was
able to get back at the victim.”

Ababon claimed that he was only defending

himself from being stabbed by Anecito as the
latter allegedly punched him and was about to
stab him with a knife.

The suspect said he wrestled for the knife, but

stabbed Anecito in the process.
