LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:
1. understand the new READING English CEFR exam format
2. explain and justify their answers by responding to questions related in Part 5 SPM READING PAPER 1

SUCCESS CRITERIA
What I’m Looking For (WILF):
1. Pupils can understand the answering tips by watching the video attached on Google Form

2. Pupils can explain and justify their answer about the task given.
3. Pupils can write a simple essay in Part 1 within correct format.
*The activities below are based on the Learning Outline suggested in the S.O.W.
PRE-LESSON (15 minutes)
1. Teacher explains briefly about the lesson via whatsapp.
2. Pupils are given 5 minutes to discuss the terms together with each other.
3. Teacher calls out the pupils at random to share ideas with the rest in the whatsapp English group.
4. Pupils are given 5 minutes to complete Activity 1 through google form.
5. Once finished, the teacher instructs the pupils to share their answers with their classmates. (Think-Share)
6. Teacher discusses the correct answers as a whole class and then introduces today’s lesson learning objectives and success
criteria to the pupils.
LESSON DEVELOPMENT (50 minutes) *Main & Compel Skills should be addressed at this stage
1. Pupils are to watch a video about reading answering technique paper 1 part 5.
2. Teacher checks pupils’ understanding and gives them 5 minutes to write down some notes.
3. Teacher calls out pupils at random to share their notes by asking some of the question based
on the video. * Complementary Skill
4. Teacher asks pupils to click the attached exercise link to complete the task.
POST-LESSON (15 minutes)
1. Teacher asks pupils to work in groups and discuss the easiest and most challenging part of creating a plan.
2. Teacher allows them a few minutes to exchange their opinions. Monitor and make a note of their feedback so teacher can
plan support in future reading lessons.
TEACHER’S REFLECTION: Generally, most of the students successfully met the learning objectives for today’s lesson. 16 out of
24 students are able to fulfil the success criteria. Activities ran smoothly. Students enjoy the lesson and involved actively.
