Dear Colleague,

It is my pleasure to recommend Anna Domka as a candidate for a teaching position

with your school district. During the 2021-2022 school year, I worked closely with
Anna as she completed a year-long internship program. In that time, I was able to
observe Anna in both a general education placement and special education placement.
In her internship placements, she exhibited a deep knowledge of teaching pedagogy,
interpersonal and intrapersonal skills, and a disposition to be a vital part of a school
team.

In the fall of 2021, Anna taught in a second-grade general education classroom with
the Howell School District at Three Fires Elementary School. During her time in the
classroom, she taught lessons focused on curriculum standards. This included teaching
the subjects of reading and mathematics. But what set Anna apart from her peers was
her enthusiasm to question her practice. She was thoughtful about planning lessons
and the implementation of the lessons. In her reflections, Anna would discover new
insight into her students, as well as discover new understandings into the curriculum
and her teaching practice. Anna had a passion to improve her teaching skills.

Beginning in January of 2022, Anna became a member of the special education team at
Three Fires Elementary. She transitioned successfully to the new demands of a special
education setting. In fact, this was the place that Anna honed her belief that all
students have a right to learn. Part of her responsibilities was to make the general
education curriculum accessible for all students. In doing so, she taught reading and
College of phonics lessons, mathematics lessons, as well as valuable communication skills. Anna
Education worked with students in a resource room pull-out setting. She developed a strong
partnership with general education colleagues and itinerate staff to support the
Department of students on her caseload.
