All instructions will be carried out via online platform – Google Meet on every Sunday.

5. Course Description
Development of English receptive and productive skills for international standardized test
such as TOEIC; practice of English standardized test focusing on all four skills; exploring test-
taking strategies and techniques necessary for standardized tests.

6.General Course Objectives

In this course, students will:


1. Develop their listening and Reading skills for TOEIC
2. Improve their grammar and vocabulary knowledge for TOEIC;
3. Employ different test-taking strategies and techniques in English standardized test;
and
4. Practise several model tests.

10. Course Methodology

This course will be a combination of lectures and practices of international standardized


test, particularly TOEIC. Students will work on improving their language skills and test-taking
strategies.

11. Readings
All students are expected to complete any assigned reading before the class.

12. Tests
If the student misses a test due to an excused absence, he or she must arrange with
Academic Affairs Office and pay a fee of 500 THB for make-up examination no more than
five days after the test is over. Exceptions will be made in the event of a serious illness or a
special occasion. No make-ups will be given for unexcused absences on test or quiz days.
Missing class (excused or unexcused) on the day before a test will not exempt the student from
preparing for and taking the test with the rest of the class. Exceptions may be granted in
advance of class in special cases.

13. Class Attendance Policy


1. To be eligible to sit for the final examination, students are required to have a
minimum of 80% attendance.
2. Students are allowed to miss a maximum of three classes per semester (15 weeks)
for reasons related to sickness, accidents, funerals, personal, and business trips. No other
excuses will be accepted.
3. Students are expected to come to class on time. Coming to class later than 15 minutes
after the scheduled time will result in one absent. Make-up classes and attendance in other
sections will not be permitted without prior permission from the lecturer.
4. The dean, department chairperson, and lecturer of the concerned subject are
empowered to withdraw students or withhold correction of the final examination papers of
students lacking the required class attendance, without the students consent.
5. Students are encouraged to actively take notes and contribute during the lecture and
discussion sessions.
