Instructions for Innovative Project / Detailed Case Analysis for MTE


Scope

Option A

1. Identify innovative project of your choice. eg. Large scale low cost housing; Drone Transport, Wireless
Power Transmission, EV charging hubs etc., use your imagination in selecting the project.
2. Develop complete project management plan covering all process groups of Initiation; Planning;
Execution; Monitoring & Control and Closing. This is a team project and each team shall have two
students. The CR shall mail list of team members and project title within 7 days of receiving these
instructions. No changes in teams and project titles is accepted.
3. Your work shall at least contain the following
i. Project feasibility
ii. Project Charter
iii. Detailed scope of work
iv. Detailed WBS
v. Activity list; relationships (FS; SS and FF); duration estimates; resource estimates
vi. Network analysis; Critical path; Project duration with 90% confidence level of completion
vii. Project cost estimate
viii. Necessary planned S curves
ix. Control and monitoring system
x. Risk Management Plan
xi. Communications plan
xii. Closing plan
xiii. Illustrations ; MSP output ; Pictures, Diagrams, etc. as necessary.

Option B
1. Source complete Data, Records and Documents of an existing / executed Project as listed above in Point
3 of Option A.

2. Suggest how the outcomes of the processes could have been improved to deliver the project to the
required constraints of Time, Cost and Performance/ Scope.

4. Your document should cover all aspects / principles / concepts / information, befitting the topic of your
choice. You may collect / assume / invent any information / input you need for the work for the
innovative project (Option A).

5. Each document shall be checked for plagiarism. Document shall be submitted through designated link.
Submissions through email shall not be accepted. Please mention your names and roll numbers on the
cover page. Your submission shall include the following:
Project Feasibility and Management Plan (Marks as per guidelines)

Timelines:
As per guidelines already provided by the University. (Proposals to be submitted by 04/02/2022). Final
Submissions by April 15, 2022. 10% marks will be deducted per week for late submission. No submissions will
mean no marks.

Grading:
Students will be graded based on (i) originality; (ii) quality of work; (iii) Project Report and answers to questions
raised in case there is a presentation.
