with people who are physically present in your life, but they will quickly get annoyed
when you’re mindlessly scrolling through social media platforms instead of paying
attention to them.

4. Most social networking sites lack authenticity. People use Snapchat to share their fun
adventures, post about how much they love them on Facebook, and upload to their
Instagram pages elaborately choreographed photos. But in reality, you have no way of
knowing if this is a joke or not. While it looks great on the surface, the person may be in
huge debt, in bad terms with their significant other, and just need Instagram likes as a
form of authentication.
