Dear Nhu,

Congratulations! I am pleased to offer you admission to George Mason University for the
Fall 2022 semester. You were selected from a competitive applicant pool, and we are
impressed with your academic achievements and personal successes. You should be very
proud of all you have accomplished.
Your academic achievements over the past four years of high school have not gone
unnoticed. It gives me great pleasure to award you a Mason Freedom Award in the total
amount of $56,000 ($14,000 for each of the next four years). Your scholarship, specifically
for non-Virginia residents, will be applied toward your tuition over four years of
undergraduate study at Mason, beginning with the Fall 2022 semester. This scholarship is
available only to students starting in Fall 2022 and cannot be transferred to a later semester.
Please keep in mind that you must be enrolled full-time (minimum of 12 credits) and maintain
a minimum 2.75 cumulative grade-point average in order to renew your scholarship annually.
If your residency status changes at any point, this award amount will be adjusted or
cancelled. Your award will also be adjusted or cancelled if you are receiving ROTC or other
benefits that are for tuition and fees. Additional details about your scholarship eligibility can
be found at admissions.gmu.edu/scholarships.

To secure your spot in the upcoming Class of 2026, you must submit your $250 enrollment
deposit prior to or on May 1st. You may also submit your $300 housing deposit at this time. To
do so, please review your information listed below:
