Q: Why did you choose this University?


 Reviews and Feedback:
 I have choose University of Northampton which also known as the first university in the
UK to be named as a Change-maker Campus in 2012., because I have heard many
goods about this institute. I have heard the people are really friendly along with the
supportive faculties.
 I have seen some videos and picture of the campus of Waterside and the place looked really
clean and amazing. Waterside Campus opened in September 2018.
 Employability includes a wide range of programmes with free study trips
and work placement options.

Q: Why did you choose your course?
 As I have started my career in Teaching, I have been fond of this profession and
would like to continue my journey in education sectors. I have been loving the
teaching profession since childhood and I have also volunteered in many school in
while I was in the US. I have also worked as teacher assistant during my high school
life. The MA in education contains of four modules and the completion of a thesis.
The thesis is an original and large piece of research. The significant component of all
the modules is that it will allows me to be involve with other professional colleagues
and fellow researchers.
 4 major which I will be recommended to take are : All carries 30 credit each except
thesis( 60 crd)

i. International perspectives on education


1. to explore and critically evaluate education policy and
practice in diverse national contexts and it evaluate socio-
economic political and cultural influences on education. It
requires engaging with established and contemporary
international research.
ii. Developing and supporting others
1. provide opportunities to explore the theory and practice of
coaching and mentoring as well as other approaches to
supporting and developing others. Theory and practice will
be linked closely.
iii. School and classroom cultures
1. reflect on what is meant by school culture and classroom
culture in a contemporary context. To generate a critical
understanding of classroom cultures informed by
educational values and beliefs and personal experience
linked to research and theory-building.
iv. Approaches to leadership and management
1. explore key issues related to the leadership and
management of schools and other educational settings.
Students will explore these ideas within the context of their
own and others professional and cultural background and
in the context of differing educational settings.
v. Research methods and thesis
1. engage in completing an original research project
supported by structured research training under the
guidance of a supervisor.
vi. Practitioner Led Development Project (additional courses)
1. structured framework for students to plan and undertake a
small scale project that addresses an identified area for
innovation. Students will have the opportunity to explore
key concepts related to managing and facilitating change
and the successful implementation of innovation.
vii. Principles and Practice in Practitioner Research (additional
courses)
1. prepare teachers and other professionals to undertake
research projects as part of their institution's overall

module will equip professional practitioners with the skills

Q: How do your studies fit into your career plans? (Future Plans)
 Currently I am involved in the teaching profession and I have been
involved since 2013. I have volunteered in several school as a
teacher’s assistant during my time when I was in the USA.
Q: Why did you decide to study in the UK?
 I believe that UK institutions offer flexibility for academic courses of my choice.
 The teaching and study methodology used in the UK give you the freedom to be creative
and develop skills sets and confidence.
 It is rank among the best in the world and qualifications are internationally valued and
recognized
 As a student I can get the opportunity to be taught by the world's leading academics
and experts; you also benefit from their constant academic support

 Course length: Shorter course length (1 yr) which means less


expenditure for tuition fee.

Q: If the costs of pursuing your course of study are higher in the UK than in
your home country, why have you decided to incur the extra costs involved
with studying in the UK?
 Well Uk is actually recognized most of the places in the world. Even
though we have MA in education in Bangladesh, I preferred to study in
abroad. I have visited the country earlier this year and simply fell in
love with the environment and the culture. I have friend who shifted
from USA to study in the UK, and hearing from her about the whole
education system in UK, I have decided to study further in the UK.
Never the less, UK is actually easier to travel from Bangladesh because
of less time. What I like most is that the uk offers courses that are short
and can be completed within a year.
Q: Do you plan to work in the UK?
 While I study, yes I plan to work but once my study is successfully
completed, I will be returning back to resume my work in Bangladesh
to aim for a promotion in higher classes.
Q: How will you fund your studies?
 My father will be sponsoring and funding my studies.
Q: Where will you be living during your studies?
 I am planning to live in the university accommodations.
Q: Do you understand the responsibilities of studying in the UK under PBS
Tier 4?
 A Tier 4, Student Visa allows you to work for a maximum of 20 hours per week.
No access to state benefits.

 Provide the University with the originals of your passport and visa documentation/Biometric Residence Permit in

order that copies can be taken.

 Keep your UK contact details up to date via the RISIS web portal (phone number, mobile phone number and

address).

 Re-enrol for your course on time each academic year if applicable.

 Study whilst you are in the UK (ensuring that you meet the progression and attendance requirements of your

course with no significant gaps or absences). Please see the University statement on monitoring attendance.

 Follow University processes if you wish to defer or suspend your studies or withdraw from your course. (You are

strongly advised to consult the Immigration Advice Service team for advice on how such changes would affect

your current immigration status).

 Ensure that you abide by the terms and conditions as laid down in the immigration rules for your particular visa.

 Ensure that you continue to retain a valid visa by extending or applying for a new visa before your current visa

expires; and that you present your new visa to the University so that a copy can be taken.

• Can you prove the money is available for study? Yes I can.

• Would you be able to pay your tuition fees in full up front? I will be paying in instalment, semester
wise.

• Have you checked the refund policy?

• Do you know what your accommodation will cost in the UK?

• Do you know how much your living expenses will be? Approximately 10,000 pound for the whole
year.

• Do you know whether you are entitled to work part-time in the UK? International students can
work about 20 hrs weekly.

• Do you know how many hours are you allowed to work?

• Do you know the likely hourly rate of pay? Approx. 10 pounds hourly

• How reliant are you on being able to work? I need to work to live in the UK during my time of
study.

 What is the tuition fee? With yearly break down. How many semesters?
o 14,000 sterling pound. Minimun 5000 pounds need to be paid before CAS.
o After Scholarship, tuition fee is 9,800 pound.
o 2 instalments between 15th  May  & 15th August for January starters.

o There is no further connection with my study, however, it is connected with my

o I have applied to several Universities around England, but I have heard lot of good
things about Northampton from watching multiple videos, Social networking
comments etc. That I why I have decided to continue my study here.
