First Speaker
Ok Thank you, Ms. Toastmaster for the time given to me, now I will
present our topic today, the topic today is Hypertention.

First, I will explain about what is Hypertention

According to the National Institutes of Health defines hypertension as a

systolic pressure equal to or above 140 mmHg and a diastolic pressure
equal to or above 90 mmHg. Every 10-point increase above the systolic
pressure will increase the risk of heart disease or stroke by 30%.

Where on the strength of this blood pressure can change from time to
time, influenced by what activities the heart is doing (eg exercising or in
normal/resting conditions) and the endurance of its blood vessels. High
blood pressure often has no symptoms. Over time, if left untreated, it
can lead to health problems, such as heart disease and stroke.

Toastmaster Thank you very much for our first speaker Ms. Suhesti, now for our
second speaker is Ms. Fitri. To explain the next material. For Ms. Fitri
times is yours.

Second Speaker Signs Hypertension

Until now the signs of the cause of hypertension are not known with
certainty. There are no specific symptoms that can be associated with
increased blood pressure, other than the determination of arterial
pressure by the examining medical personnel.
This means that arterial hypertension will never be diagnosed if the
arterial pressure is not measured.

Toastmaster Alright Thank you so much Ms. Fitri, now for the next material will be
continued by our third speaker Ms. Ayu Rai, for Ms. Ayu Rai time is
yours to explaining the material.

Third Speaker
Thank you Ms. Toastmaster for the time given to me. I'm the third
speaker today and I will explain material about a. Causes of
hypertention

In general, hypertension is divided in two, namely primary and

secondary hypertension.
1. Primary hypertension is caused by :

• Psychological stress

• Genetic factors (heredity)

• Getting older

2. Secondary hypertension is caused by:

• Kidney illness

• Renal artery stenosis

• Pyelonephritis

• Glomerulonephritis

• Kidney tumors and others

In addition to the above hypertension can also be caused by race or

ethnicity, urbanization, and geography.

Toastmaster Thank you for our third speaker Ms. Ayu Rai for the explanation of the
material. Okay next, to our fourth speaker Ms. Lili time is yours to
explaining the next material.

Speaker 4 Thank you Ms. Toastmaster for the time given to me. I'm the fourth
speaker. Today's topic is useful for us because it may be related to
nursing exams, especially for nursing students. So, my job is to present
the topic as well as possible. What's the topic for today? Let's see.

- Common Symptoms of Hypertension

Hypertension has the term silent killer or a disease that kills silently.
This is because people with hypertension generally do not experience
any symptoms, until their blood pressure is too high and life-
threatening. Therefore, it is important to regularly check blood pressure,
either independently or by visiting a doctor.

A person suffering from hypertension will feel several symptoms that

arise, including :

1. Complaining of a headache
2. Weak and tired body
3. Nauseous vomit
4. Nervous
5. Nosebleed
6. Out of breath
7. Eyesight is blurry

Ok, that’s from me, now will continue by the speaker 5, thank you.
Time I return to Ms. Toast Master.

Toastmaster Okay, Thank you so much for our fourth speaker, Ms. Lili for the
explanation of the material. For our fifth speaker Ms. Salwa times is
yours to explaining the next material.

Speaker 5 Here i will explain Hypertension Prevention

Prevention of hypertension can be done by controlling risk factors ,

including.

 Overcoming obesity / lose excess weight Obesity is not a cause

of hypertension.

 Reduce salt intake. Advice on reducing salt, must pay attention

to the patient's eating habits. Limit to less than 5 grams (1
teaspoon) per day when cooking and for people with
hypertension, maximum 2 grams per day

 Low-fat diet This diet can be done by reducing fatty or oily

foods, such as fatty meats, goat meat, full cream milk and egg
yolks.

  Create a state of relaxation or stress management Various ways

of relaxation such as meditation, yoga or hypnosis
can control the nervous system which can ultimately lower
blood pressure

 Quitting Smoking can increase rigidity of blood vessels that can

aggravate hypertension. Toxic chemicals such as nicotine and
carbon monoxide inhaled through cigarettes that enter the
bloodstream can damage the endothelial lining of the
arteries.
