Spice Products (mulberry silk, Pury flour, silkworm),
mulberry and its derivatives Our company is based in
Makassar, South Sulawesi

Indonesia
has been known for centuries as the land of coconuts, spices and
marine fisheries. Not a few people who rely on agriculture and fisheries as a
source of income. Unfortunately, there are still many farmers in Indonesia who
live in poverty. This is because they don't have the power to set the price where
distributors have the bargaining power to set prices in their favor. Therefore, we
set our mission is to provide transparency and fairness in pricing to help
Indonesians prosperous farmer.

Our company currently focuses on four main Mulberry Plantation products

which are Mulberry Pupae, Mulberry caterpillar, Mulberry tea, Mulberry Flour,
and cosmetic ingredients from Mulberry, Mulberry Cocoa. its derivatives,
Coffee, Palm Sugar, Cocoa, Charcoal Briquettes, and Marine Fisheries. Our
dream is to bring more agricultural products from Indonesia to the world.

Karya Cipta Karsa is a general trading company with diverse customers. We

Murbei
The black mulberry tree (Morus nigra) was imported to England in the 17th
century in the hope that it would be useful in the cultivation of silkworms (Bombyx
mori). Unfortunately that didn't work as silkworms prefer to inhabit white
mulberry trees (Morus alba). Although the hopes were not realized, but the
cultivation of that era left a legacy of large and old black mulberry trees in many
gardens and homes in the English countryside.

Mulberry or Mulberry (Morus nigra) is a species of plant from the family

Moraceae, native to southwest Asia. The tree itself has been cultivated since
ancient times for its edible fruit.

The mulberry tree is thought to have originated in the mountainous regions of

Mesopotamia and Persia. But now it is widespread throughout Afghanistan, Iraq,
Iran, India, Pakistan, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, and Turkey.

In Turkey, the mulberry tree is called Shahtoot, in Arabic Syajarat tukki, and in
English-speaking countries it is called Blackberry or Wild Blackberry.
 Mulberry Caterpillar,
The silkworm has a length of up to 10 cm with a diameter of up to 0.8 cm before
becoming a cocoon. This caterpillar also has a complete metamorphosis, with
each generation going through 4 stadia, namely eggs, larvae or caterpillars,
pupae, and moths or butterflies. In the larval stage, silkworms only eat fresh
mulberry leaves that are not exposed to any chemicals. This period is actually a
very important time for silk protein synthesis and egg formation.

As for the stages of cultivation, silkworms are the same as insects in general. The
stages of growth pass through the stage of complete metamorphosis, starting
with the egg stage and then the larva or caterpillar. The caterpillar stage is further
divided into 3, namely larvae 1, larvae 2, and larvae 3. The older the stage, the
larger the caterpillar shape. Then, after reaching larval stage 3, the caterpillar will
eat less and become a pupa. At the pupa stage, the caterpillar will be wrapped by
a fine and long filament called a cocoon, which is the material for making silk
threads.
 mulberry tea
The mulberry plant is well known for its ability to treat various diseases and its
beauty benefits. One of the health products produced from the mulberry plant
is mulberry tea. Mulberry tea can also be categorized as an herbal drink. For
maximum results, good mulberry tea is tea that comes from mulberry
leaves/plants that do not use artificial fertilizers and pesticides. The good
quality of the tea leaves can even be used up to four times without losing its
distinctive taste.

Pupa Mulberry
Silkworm pupae are rich in nutrients, especially protein and unsaturated fatty
acids. In Indonesia, the use of silkworm pupae as a by-product of the silk
industry, especially in the food processing process, has not been carried out.
Silkworm pupae can also be an alternative solution to the problem of
nutritional adequacy in Indonesia given its good protein content. Even though
it is known that the silkworm pupae has a high protein content, some people
still feel that they are not in the mood to eat it directly.

Therefore, creative innovation is needed to utilize silkworm pupae as a source

of protein in the form of processed food products that are more acceptable,
including by making pupa powder and applying it as a source of water-soluble
protein in the instant cream soup process. The stages of making instant
cream soup consist of several stages, namely the stage of making pupa
powder as a raw material, selecting raw materials by organoleptic testing,
formulation of instant cream soup, organoleptic test of instant cream soup,
chemical analysis of instant cream soup and product scale up.
 Mulberry Flour

The need for food to support nutritional adequacy in Indonesia continues to

increase. The availability factor is one of the obstacles to meeting these
needs. On the other hand, many alternative food products have not been fully
empowered.

One alternative is pury flour product, namely flour from pupae-mulberry (a by-
product of sericulture business). Pury flour contains nutrients such as protein
and high essential fats, so it is suitable for use as a basic ingredient for
formulas for complementary foods for breast milk (MP-ASI).

The use of pury flour can support food security and diversify protein sources.
In addition, pury flour products can provide added value to sericulture
breeders.
