The benefits that online learning brings to students are enormous and undeniable especially

when traditional learning situations have many obstacles, such as commuting or distance. ..
Development in information technology has generated more choices for today’s education.
Agendas of schools and educational institutions have recognized e-Learning as having the
prospect to transform people, knowledge, skills and performance. However, as every coin has two
sides, (Thesis statement)

Paragraph one : ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Topic sentence : ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------. Because of the

fact that most online learning programs can only offer a one-way communication, this
disadvantage is inevitable! ”, detail 1 : -----------------------------------------------------, let alone personal
touch with instructors, provided in a traditional classroom in which “two-way or face-to-face
communication always proved its important” is the evident truth. The learning process is much
easier with the use of the face to face encounter with the instructors or teachers.

To further discuss this, detail 2 : -----------------------------------------------------------------. Although

some online courses enable their users to communicate through “discussion and community
boards, this definitely differs from carrying a conversation to a classmate sitting next to you in
person.

Paragraph 2 : ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Topic sentence 2 :-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------. an e-

learning student may not be exposed to enough multidimensional views of a certain subjects or
topic . What’s more, in a class, a debate arising does not necessarily involve in what were taught.
Instead, a wide range of issues pertaining to future plan or professional life is also focused on.
This helps students develop their personality and teaches them how to deal with life “in an
appropriate manner”. Moreover, to gain success in life, one needs not only bookish but also
experience and particularly, knowledge about “various life issues as well as situations”.

Paragraph 3 :------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Topic sentence : ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

whereas academic resources are supported in most conventional colleges/universities such as

libraries, stadiums, study areas and laboratories, online learning environment is much more
challenging. It is pretty practical when mentioning the impossibility of “drop[ping] a tutoring center
or attend[ing] extra help”. The absence of face-to-face communication results in the failure of
receiving immediate feedbacks for students’ assignments and fieldwork studies. They may not
have their problems and questions of the last lesson solved by professors or classmates as in a
traditional class, which can function as a barrier in one’s learning In case of receiving feedbacks,
students have to wait for a long time, till the instructors review their work . Therefore, learning
process, due to all of these factors, will be less effective .

Paragraph 4 :-------------------------------------------------------------

Topic sentence : ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Two typical kinds of e-learning can be taken as examples here. First, computer-based training
provides users with learning objects including audios, videos, animations and application
simulations via a CD-ROM, while another type, web-based training, has its learning materials
delivered over the Internet . A computer connected to a network is a must with both of them. this
triggers off the technology-related problem to people who “do not have ready access” this
equipment, in other words, they are “ill-equipped” to use it. Besides, power cutoff, failure in
Internet server on any hardware issue can also make severe impacts on learning process. Slow
internet connections or older computers may make accessing course Materials frustrating .

Conclusion :

The biggest argument that raises doubt over online learning is the quality of online courses in
comparison to conventional courses. Are such online courses good enough to prepre learners to
a successful professional life ? Are cyber learners able to work unsupervised and solve problem
Independently ? Personally,  I think unless they are self – motivated and disciplined to progress
through their programme in a timely manner, success will be highly farfetched .

Students also learn better in a traditional classroom because they do hand on projects and hands
on work. For me I learn better in a traditional classroom more than online because online is hard
and the students have to do everything on their own pace and time. In a traditional classroom there
is more motivation because the instructor or the teacher gives the student deadlines on school
work like a paper, or homework, or even a project. But online learning the student don’t have any
motivation to do the work because the student has to do everything on his own time and the
students sometime get lazy because they have no motivation what so ever while having online
classes. Students get motivated from other students by just talking to each other’s or pushing each
other’s to their best on projects, or maybe homework’s. I get motivated more by being in a
classroom not being on an online class because in an online class student get to do everything on
their own with no help from a teacher or other student and sometimes they get distracted while
doing their work. In a traditional classroom student don’t get distracted by anything because they
can’t use cellphones during class and they can’t use other stuff that distracts them. Finally
traditional classroom is better than online learning because students have more motivation being in
a classroom; students also learn

? The second biggest argument is the current reality that faces many people from disadvantaged
backgrounds, despite the improvements made in this area in recent years – they do not have the
level of basic access needed to benefit from online learning. In fact, there are numerous sources
of evidence that claim disadvantaged students are not receiving anywhere near the sort of benefits
that online learning institutions and promoters are trying to instigate. Currently there are many
organisations, campaigns and initiatives that are working to expand access to higher education.
With such high participation, it can be argued that it is only a matter of time before the benefits are
truly realised, but what about the global online infrastructure?
There is another argument that is very difficult to dispel, and that is the response of different types
of students to the online learning paradigm. Evidence shows that there are certain groups of
students that benefit from college distance learning much more than other groups. In essence,
students must be highly motivated and highly disciplined if they are to learn effectively in their own
private environment.
