ABSTRACT

ORDER:

The President of LG Chem Ltd, Petroleum Company, Seoul represented to the

Government through Honorary Consul General, Consulate General of the Republic of
Korea in Hyderabad to amicably resolve the stalemate due to styrene vapour accident
on 7th May 2020 at LG Polymers India Pvt. Ltd., (LGPI), Visakhapatnam keeping in
view various options recommended by High Power Committee.

2. After a detailed examination of the report and discussions at various levels on

the proposals of LGPI and keeping in view the recommendation of the High Power
Committee (HPC), Government hereby approves the following.

i. LGPI to vacate the entire 213 acre project site in R.R.Venkatapuram Village,
Pendurthi Mandal, Visakhapatnam and to utilise the same for promotion of
White/Green industries, to protect the local employment, duly obtaining the
Environmental Clearance.
ii. LGPI to move Engineering Plastic and Acrylo Nitryl Butadiene Styrene
compounding manufacturing activities, which are Green and non-hazardous, to
an alternate location.
iii. LGPI shall continue with the present employment in Toto.

3. The Revenue (LA) Department, EFS&T Department, LFB&IMS Department,

MA&UD Department, AP Secretariat, Director of Industries, VC&MD, APIIC, and the
District Collector, Visakhapatnam shall take necessary action accordingly.
