EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

ProWeb is an employee networking platform for working professionals which enables them
to connect with other people with similar career paths. ProWeb allows working professionals
who want to change career paths and looking to gain knowledge or information or advice
about the same from professionals who have already been on the same journey in their
careers.

The website/application platform offers two roles to be onboarded: an advisee log-in for
people seeking career advice and an advisor log-in for people looking to provide career
advice. The platform that we are providing these working people will enable them to increase
their network and thus enhance their chances of landing a job that they are suitable for in
their careers.

ProWeb lets users enable people seeking career change but not having enough knowledge
how to prepare for the new challenges they will be facing on their new career path.

Our objective at ProWeb is to provide users a platform which is easier to connect with other
professionals working in the same field.

ProWeb aims to be one of the significant shareholders in the employee networking market
and market leader in the professional-to-professional learnings.

ProWeb has a mixed blend of expertise and youth with on-hand experience of the current
market trends with experienced professionals. ProWeb has top of the notch Advisory Board
with experts from every field to drive ProWeb in its sky-rocketing path.

ProWeb is eyeing to reach a mark of 47000 users by the end of 2020-21, fetching a revenue
of approximately Rs 8.4 million.

OPERATIONS AND SUPPORT


App Operations

ProWeb is an application/website that offers counselling for people seeking career change.
ProWeb provides an option to people who are seeking consultation regarding their career
change by introducing experienced advisors who have gone through the same career changes.
The application/website offers two options while onboarding: either be an advisor or find an
advisor. If someone chooses an option to sign up as an advisor, then they will be asked for
different proofs for the information they provide, like their ID proofs, company proofs, career
change proofs for which they want to be the advisor. For advisees, there will be a similar
process, with different types of proofs asked from them. This application/website gives the
advantage of people seeking career change but not having enough knowledge how to prepare
for the new challenges they will be facing on their new career path.

Once the users have onboarded themselves as an advisor or an advisee, then they can use
different features available on the application/website. We offer several features for the
advisor, amongst others:

 Networking with advisees
 Referral programs
 Advisor fee
For the advisees, we offer other features which help them gain more information and
confidence while switching careers:

 Providing a search option for the advisees with different filters such as career type,
career length, companies, roles, etc.
 Providing an option to connect with different advisors for a particular career change
path
 Providing details such as name, role, company and ratings of the advisors to choose
from in order to connect with them

Some features are to be provided for both the advisors and advisees:

 Giving a support option to chat with the ProWeb team in case of any challenges faced
by our users
 Notifications provided for both the advisors and the advisee while connecting
 Providing video, audio and chat features on meet between the advisors and the
advisees
 Providing a feedback option for both the advisors and advisees

Operations/ Quality Objectives


For attracting more customers to use Proweb application, the service quality is of the topmost
importance. User behaviour can be monitored by tracking the review and ratings of the
application regularly and necessary steps can be taken in accordance with the requirements or
recommendations of the users. Ratings of the advisors would also be easily monitorable so as
to give advisees a detail of which advisors can be most suitable for them.

User confidentiality is of the key priority for Proweb special attention is given to user data to
maintain their privacy. User identification is also of high importance and hence users are
required submit copies of their profession proofs. For Advisors, we would require them to
share proofs of the industry/career changes that they have undergone these can be in the form
of salary slips, PAN card, etc. For advisees, they can share the details of their current career
and their preferences.

The

focus of operations team would also be on the importance of assigning the correct and most
appropriate mentor to the mentees. Some mentees might prefer to get advice from
experienced professional who would have 10-15 years in the industry while some might want
to have mentors who might have some recent change in their career and want to pursue their
footsteps.

The team would focus on fulfilling such requirements to match such people who are most
suited for each other. They would provide proper communication facility and ability to
connect with the stakeholders. Before connecting the users with each other for two-way
acceptance, notification along with the details of the users would be sent to each other to
confirm their interest. After the process will start the team would also collect regular
feedbacks of the users and work on implementing any corrections they might suggest. A
dedicated support team would be provided to address the most important issues at faster pace.

Technology Requirements

Technology that will be used for developing the application/website will be an important part
for defining the success of it. The major aspect that needs to be addressed is that whatever
requirements that the company has must be met while choosing a technology:

 Application/Website Server: Server should be chosen based on factors such as


performance and scalability. The server should be able to handle the traffic that comes
on the website/application. Moreover, the server should provide any notifications to
the advisors and advisees, and be able to meet the increasing demands when the
traffic is high
 Development of website and application for Android and iOS: There is a need to
implement the website with technology based on APIs and client interfaces, web
development frameworks such as angular, reactJS, Django, nodeJS, and programming
languages such as html, css, php, javascript, python.
 Database Management: Database is needed to be maintained for both the information
of advisors and advisees. There are several frameworks which can be used for the
database, MySQL, mongoDB, etc.
 Machine Learning Matching Algorithms: Machine learning technology will be used
for searching and matching appropriate advisors and advisees
 Block Chain Technology: For maintaining data security and ensuring that
confidentiality of data is maintained with us, all the data will be stored using block
chain technology
 Google Sign in: This is an API to help the users who want to log in to ProWeb using
their Google accounts
 Facebook Sign in: This is an API to help the users who want to log in to ProWeb
using their Facebook accounts
 Camera, Mic and Language: Allowing the application/website to use the camera,
microphone and language settings for the counselling meeting between the advisors
and advisees

Service Support

To ensure that users have trouble-free connections, a dedicated service support team is ready
to address their concerns, and issues are resolved in real time. In the future, an offline support
team prospect can be evaluated so that the user can physically contact the team to address
their issues. Depending on the volume of transactions, the number of support team members
will be increased.

Future Prospects

 Big data analytics will play a significant role as well. Efficient and effective
networking is dependent on an operating system's ability to forecast which advisors
would be acceptable for which advisee, and it necessitates the collection, analysis, and
utilisation of a large amount of data for an industry or part of an industry.
 Effective networking may be made much easier by spotting clustered industry trends
across many industries, allowing users to pinpoint similar interests across all
stakeholders. Additional data points, such as identity information gleaned from
previous employers and employees, might be added to strengthen the link.
 A number of significant design changes to improve visibility and platform
attractiveness, including improved sight lines between advisors and advisees, video
meetings to connect mentors and mentees, and an integrated dash display to
incorporate all available users, ratings, advisor feedback, and success stories, among
other things, all to simplify information, reduce cognitive load, and make the platform
more appealing.

RISKS AND OPPORTUNITIES


Possible Problems, Risks and Threats
 Risks of User confidentiality - It shall be dealt with by having a proper background
check of the advisors from their prior employers so that no person with fake
information can use the platform and use documents for proofs. The users information
shall be kept encrypted in the system so that no information leak can take place, and
shall only be shared with the users on their prior permissions.
 Problem of not having similar interests – It might be also an issue that comes up
where the advisor and advisee have different interest and might not be suitable for
each other. Such issues shall be dealt with care by having support team following up
with the users and through consistent feedbacks.
 Platform Breakdown - In case of platform breakdown a repair service shall be
provided at the earliest and we shall also look to provide alternate options for users to
connect, the app shall mediate the contact between the advisor and advisee and
personal details will be up to the users to share among themselves to maintain privacy.

 Dealing with competition from Acetech and Micromentor and other such competitors
- The competition from their existing product is high as they are providing free of cost
services, but we have the advantage of confirming the identity while keeping the
details confidential

Real Option Opportunities

 Latest technologies such as block chain can be implemented in order to reduce the
cost of storage and help in not relying on third parties for verifying the advisors’ and
advisees’ details. Also, we can implement OCR detection methods for verifying ID
proofs amongst others
 Customized advertisements such as giving discounts to the advisees on monthly or
yearly packages and earning from the clients
 Collaborating with other apps and integrate more features such as linking LinkedIn
accounts with ProWeb for better reach
 Video meeting app collaborations such as MS teams, Google meet, Zoom meeting,
etc. in order to provide facilities for meetings and saving in house development cost
