THE RESEARCH PROPOSAL TEMPLATE

This document has been set up to assist you in preparing the text for the research. It is
NOT intended as a document to guide you through your research proposal development,
but to assist you in setting out the proposal, in terms of text layout, section headings and
sub-sections.

The Research should be developed under the supervision of the assigned supervisor.
Through the full proposal, you need to demonstrate convincingly that the study will
make a contribution to an architecture issue or problem. The full research should present
the following:

You should use the template provided in this document without changing

The template provides ALL the sections, headings and subheadings that you will require
in your research, as well as the line and paragraph spacing, page breaks, page
numbering, referencing system and referencing styles. You should simply edit the text
where appropriate and insert your own text as per your proposal, i.e. simply type into
the document. Do not attempt to change the styles for the headings or subheadings, and
do not attempt to use more than three level headings (i.e. A main heading, a sub-heading
and a sub-sub-heading).

LIST OF FIGUERS

Figure 2.1:............................................................................................................................

1.1 - Project Definition

a glass container or pool i which small fish and
other water animals and plants are kept, or a building, usually open to the public, in
which many different fish and other water animals live and can be studied

1.2 - General background

An aquarium is a vivarium consisting of at least one transparent side in which water-
dwelling plants or animals are kept. Fishkeepers use aquaria to keep fish, invertebrates,
amphibians, marine mammals, turtles, and aquatic plants. The term combines the Latin
root aqua, meaning water, with the suffix -arium, meaning "a place for relating to". An
aquarist owns fish or maintains an aquarium, typically constructed of glass or high-
strength acrylic plastic. Cuboid aquaria are also known as fish tanks or simply tanks,
while bowl-shaped aquaria are also known as fish bowls. Size can range from a small
glass bowl to immense public aquaria. Specialized equipment maintains appropriate
water quality and other characteristics suitable for the aquarium's residents..

1.3- The location of the project

RED SEA , SAFAGA
1.4- Justification of choosing the project
The Red Sea is one of the most important governorates of Egypt in terms of
tourism components, which are represented in the mild climate throughout the
year, the beaches of various lengths, the rugged ocean, the rare aquatic
neighborhoods, Banu Rama, the herbs, natural reserves, bays, and the chain of
jewels, and all these components are not found combined in many countries of
the world.
And yet Egypt has not used its advantages and built a huge aquarium, even
though, it has the right place/requirements
1.6 Description of the project
 There is a building dedicated to students for research
 A building for visitors to the aquarium
 Dedicated meteorological and marine rooms

1.7 - Users identification

 researchers’ students
 City people workers
 international tourists.

1.9- Scale project

 Aquarium of Genoa in Italy is a 33,000 square

1.10 - Objectives of the project

Long-term development of the economy and the labor force of the city’s youth,
increasing the city’s economy, creating job opportunities for young people, and
educating students to know the world of the seas
