THE LOGO

The coat-of-arms that encapsulates the other

components of the logo symbolizes the Center’s over-
all mandate and desire to be a student shield against
ignorance and unwanted external influences. The book
that is adapted from the UCU logo and resembles the
Philippine flag, serves as the foundation of CSLD,
represents the significant role of the UCU academic
community in providing academic and para-academic
opportunities geared at shaping the learners to be
nationalistic. The torch symbolizes the CSLD as a team
that helps bring out students’ potentials so they could
rise and shine in their chosen fields. The human figures
in different colors in the flame symbolize the students’
excellence in their chosen fields. With the radiance of the UCU students, they could be integral
contributors of an enlightened and progressive society that is represented by the golden
background. The laurel represents excellence in all endeavors that the Center engages in.
