Guidelines and Mechanics
ALPAS: CEAFA E-SPORTS CUP
MOBILE LEGENDS
ELIMINATIONS: April 23-29 2022 at 6:00 pm
CHAMPIONSHIP: May 6 , 2022 at 6:00 pm

By participating in the Mobile Legends tournament, CEAFA members will be able to


put their abilities in rapid thinking, strategizing, teamwork, and competitive spirit to the
test.

PREREQUISITE
1. The contest is exclusively only for members of the College of Engineering,
Architecture and Fine Arts.
2. Each program is entitled and encouraged to send one (1) participating team
consisting of five (6) members including one (1) chosen as their team leader and
another one (1) as reserved player.
3. The group must register to the given link to be posted along with the announcement
of the event and other contests.
4. Deadline of registration will be on or before April 17, 2022 in which case, all
registrations after that will not be accepted. No additions or changes to line-ups
after registration and confirmation.

5. In registering, the group must prepare the following: (only the captain must
accomplish this section)

a. Name of the Team

c. Player Name of the Members in Mobile Legends
d. Mobile Legends ID Number
e. Mobile Legends Server Number

Guidelines & Mechanics

1. There will be an elimination round for the students to identify who will advance to
the semi-final round. Bracketing will be announced in the orientation.
2. In the semi-final round, 4 teams will advance and will fight in a best of 3 match.
First team to win two times will advance to the final round.
3. In the final round, the two teams will fight in a best of 5 match where the first team
to win three times will be declared as the champion.
4. The players will be given 15 minutes grace period or waiting time before the match
starts.
5. All communication with the players and teams will be conducted in Discord and
messenger provided by the organizers to monitor the players.
Drafting:
1. The competition must be held in a 5v5 custom match draft-pick Mythic battlefield
unlocked.
2. Each team is required to ban three (3) heroes only that they think might be
overpowered or might give them a hard time.
3. Trolling of pick is not allowed.

Gameplay:

1. Each participating team must prepare their devices before the start of the game.
2. Team captains may start the match if both teams are ready.
3. The players are allowed to smash the recall button or to use emote.
4. The players are not allowed to avoid saying negative things such as trashtalks
against the opposing team at all times.
5. Each team is allowed to have two (2) pauses in case of lag or disconnection. Each
pause is set to only last for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
6. Upon the end of the game, a screenshot of the result from both sides should be
sent to the group chat and discord text channel for confirmation of the loser and
the winner in each bracket. No post-game result screenshot will result to invalidity
of match with no rematch.
7. Further questions and clarifications shall be administered to the organizers prior to
the event and will be addressed accordingly.
On the day of the tournament:
1. The tournament will be live streamed at CEAFASC Facebook Page.
2. All players must have two devices available on the day of the Mobile Legends
Tournament.
3. All players must have a stable internet or prepared mobile data.
4. Each team must join a Discord Server and a separate voice channel (open
camera) with a CEAFA moderator in order to make sure that each plater would
not curse or sign something rude during the day of the tournament.

VALORANT TOURNAMENT

ELIMINATIONS: April 23-29 2022 at 6:00 pm

thinking, strategizing, teamwork, and competitive spirit are tested and showcased.

Guidelines and Mechanics

4. All members of a roster must have their Riot account in good standing. This
includes not being banned, chat banned, or restricted in any way due to toxicity,
breaking game rules, or not complying with Riot’s code of conduct.
5. A player is allowed to register to register only one (1) Valorant account; they are
not allowed to share or use another person’s game account.
6. All communication with the players and teams will be conducted in Discord and
messenger provided by the organizers to monitor the players.
7. All cheats and hacks are strictly prohibited. Use of any third-party application
which would give an unfair advantage to the opposing team, exploiting glitches
and bug abuse, are also not allowed.

BEFORE THE MATCH

1. The players will be given 15 minutes grace period or waiting time before the
match starts.
2. The map of the game will be determined by a toss coin played by the
moderator/facilitator. The first to win the toss coin will be the first to choose the
first map from the pool and the next team captain will be the one to choose
which side they will start; attackers or defenders.

DURING THE MATCH

1. Team captains of each team will have to choose maps and sides as described:
Elimination - Best of 1
> Team 1 bans a map from the map pool.
> Team 2 bans a map from the map pool.
> Team 1 picks a map from the remaining 2 maps.
> Team 2 will pick a side (Attackers/Defenders) to start on.
Finals - Best of 3
> The team on the top – choosing the first map from the map pool.
> The team on the bottom – choosing a side on which they will start on the
first map.
> The team on the bottom – choosing the second map from the map pool.
>The team on the top – choosing side on which they will start on the
second map.
> The team on the bottom – choosing the third map from the map pool.
> The team on the top – choosing side on which they will start on the third
map.
2. After map selection team captains have to write that their team is ready in the
lobby chat. The game should not start until both sides are ready.
3. Each team has a 5-minute Technical Timeout.
4. The game can be remade only once, the game has to be played in the way it
started after the remake, even if the issues will occur.
5. If a player disconnects during the game, the team can use their 5-minute
technical timeout. If the time limit is over and the player is still not in the game,
we need to start the match.
TAGISAN NG TALINO QUIZ CUP
ELIGIBILITY RULES

All participants shall be currently enrolled in any program under the College of Engineering, Architecture,
and Fine Arts department.
A minimum of one (1), and maximum of three (3) students shall be allowed to individually represent their
program. Each participant shall be accompanied by a coach.
Registration form shall be filled out and completed; additionally, identification card or certificate of
enrollment, and picture of the participants must be attached. Each team shall register on or before April 17,
2022.

GENERAL RULES

The Tagisan ng Talino Quiz Cup is an inter-program, and individual quiz competition. The questions are
categorized under General Information (recent discoveries and events), Mathematics (Algebra, Calculus,
Trigonometry, and Geometry), and Science (Chemistry, Biology, Earth Science, and Physics).
The contest proper will consist of two (2) rounds; the elimination and final round. The elimination round
will be held virtually using AHASlides, and Zoom as the platform. The top 10 finalists will advance to the
final round to be held at the Alangilan Campus.
The board of judges shall be composed of experts whose excellence are in the field of Science and
Mathematics. No judge shall act as a coach of any participant. The judges’ decision regarding all protests
that may arise during the Quiz Cup shall be final and irrevocable.
During the quiz proper, the following guidelines shall be applied:

CLINCHER ROUND. In case of a tie, three (3) questions shall be given. Scores in this round will be
accumulated and the participant who will garner the highest/higher points will be declared as the placer.
Corresponding time limits and pointing system will be imposed.

DO-OR-DIE. If after the clincher round, the tie is not yet broken, a series of do-or-die questions will be
given. The first participant to give the correct answer will be declared as the placer. Corresponding time
limits and pointing system will be imposed.

PROTESTS. Only the participants, and the coaches can file protests. Protests shall be made immediately
after the answer was revealed.

For the elimination round, to raise any protest, use the Zoom meeting raise hand feature and wait for it to be
acknowledged by the quiz masters. Afterwards, the objection shall be expressed verbally. The board of judges
shall deliberate on all protests. The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.

For the final round, after the answer was revealed, the contestant and/or coach shall raise his/her hand to
protest. Wait for it to be acknowledged by the quiz masters. Afterwards, the objection shall be expressed

ELIMINATION ROUND
Participants shall enter the Zoom meeting 10 minutes before the contest proper. Zoom meeting link will be
sent to the participants by CEAFA SC a day before the contest.
The elimination round shall consist of three (3) rounds, namely: Easy, Average, and Difficult. Each round
entails ten (10) questions. The pointing system shall be as follows:

For identification type of questions, the participants shall answer depending on what is asked in the
questions. Format of answers shall be stated. Capitalization, and proper punctuations shall be observed.
In case of any tie, clincher round shall commence.
During the quiz proper, participants shall have no more than two (2) functional devices.
Participants are strictly required to open their cameras during the contest proper to be monitored by in-
charged CEAFA SC officers. If a participant is detected turning off his camera during the quiz, he or she
will not receive any points.
Opening of unnecessary tabs (e.g., Google search, Messenger, Facebook, dictionary, and other tabs that can
be used for cheating), and coaching or giving audible/visible signals in any form to the contestants during
the competition is considered an offense. If a participant is caught engaging in such behavior, his or her
response to the question is declared null and void.
The quiz master shall read the question twice. The participants shall be given a time limit to answer the
questions. The time shall start after the question has been read twice. The contestants can only start
answering after the signal given by the quiz master.

After the three rounds, only the top ten (10) scorers shall proceed to the final round.
All registered participants shall secure a stable internet connection during the event. In case a problem
arises, the guidelines for Technical and Internet Problems must be strictly implemented.

TECHNICAL AND INTERNET PROBLEMS. In case the participant got disconnected from AhaSlides and
experienced difficulty in rejoining, the respective usher/usherette shall be informed immediately. The
monitoring team will review the situation. If the team has verified that such a problem really arose, the
participant shall be given an opportunity to answer a missed question. This applies when the participant
missed only one (1) question per round. In case the participant encounters the following problems, which
may cause them to miss more than one question, the respective usher/usherette shall be informed
immediately. The monitoring team will review the situation. If the team has verified that such a problem
really arose, the participant shall be given an opportunity to continue, but the missed questions will be
deemed ZERO. The difficulties being pertained to were as follows:
The laptop of the participant shuts down or restarts during the competition.
The participant experienced a power interruption during the competition.
The participant experienced a complete internet outage.

In case a problem in submission of answers occurs, the respective usher/usherette shall be informed
immediately. The team will review the situation. A point shall be given if upon reviewing, the answer that
failed to be submitted is correct and is turned in within the time limit.

FINAL ROUND
The final round shall be held at the Alangilan Campus in a face-to-face setup. Health safety protocols
provided by the IATF, and the university shall be observed all throughout the activity.
The finalists shall register prior to the contest proper. After registration, their respective numbers and
materials (board, marker and eraser) shall be given.
The final round shall consist of three (3) rounds, namely: Easy, Average, and Difficult. Each round entails
ten (10) questions. The pointing system shall be as follows:

For identification type of questions, the participants shall answer depending on what is asked in the

Participants shall closely adhere to the allotted time for answering the questions. Failure to do so renders
their response invalid for that particular question. Final responses shall be encircled, regardless of whether
the answer is a word, letter, number, or phrase.
The top three (3) participants, based on their cumulative scores, shall be awarded as first, second, and third
place, respectively. In case of any tie, clincher round and/or do-or-die shall commence.

PRIZES. Only three (3) participants shall be chosen as first, second and third placers depending on the
accumulated scores garnered from each round. The 3rd Placer shall be awarded a medal, a certificate, and a
cash prize of one thousand pesos (Php 1,000.00). The 2nd Placer shall be awarded a medal, a certificate, and
a cash prize of one thousand five-hundred pesos (Php 1,500.00). The 1st Placer shall be awarded a medal, a
certificate, and a cash prize of two thousand pesos (Php 2,000.00).
Kultura: Video Advocacy Making Competition
Objectives:
A. To give students an opportunity to inform others about their advocacy campaigns.
B. To encourage students to voice out their thoughts and spread awareness.
C. To showcase the student’s creativity through a video.

Guidelines and Mechanics:

A. General Mechanics
a. This is a competition between different organizations in Batangas State University – Alangilan
Campus under the College of Engineering, Architecture and Fine Arts.
b. The topic varies from each participant’s advocacies.

B. Contest Proper
a. There must be one (1) video output per organization. The official entry must include the name of the
organization and their advocacy campaign.
b. The video should interpret and emphasize their advocacy campaign. Plagiarism, and any offensive or
inappropriate content will result to disqualification.

NOTE: The advocacy to be portrayed must be relevant to the assigned ‘God and Goddesses’ to the
representatives of the organizations or the place or province they came from.

Theme: Kulturang Pilipino at Mitolohiya, Atin to!

c. The video output length must be in minimum of three (3) minutes and maximum of five (5) minutes.
d. The video output must be submitted in AVI, MOV, or MP4 format and send it to CEAFA SC official
email address: ceafascalangilan@g.batstate-u.edu.ph on or before April 30, 2022.

a cash prize of one thousand five-hundred pesos (Php 1,500.00). The 1st Placer shall be awarded a medal, a

MR. AND MS. CEAFA 2022
I. MECHANICS
A. Number of Candidates per Program
Each program must have at least one male or one female representative for the pageant. The
participating program shall be responsible for screening the candidates in accordance with the
guidelines set by the CEAFA Student Council.
B. Candidates
a. Candidates must be a bona fide student of Batangas State University – Alangilan Campus
under the College of Engineering Architecture and Fine Arts Department
b. There are NO height requirements for the pageant.
c. Candidates must not be a title holder (reigning Mr. and Ms. CEAFA) in the previous years
d. Candidates must participate face-to-face agendas in relation to pageant (video shoots,
pictorial, interview, or pageant proper) are to be conducted.
C. CLOSED-DOOR INTERVIEW (Preliminaries)
a. Closed Door Interview is 25% of your overall score for the pageant proper in determining
our Final Five. This shall be held on a separate date but prior to the pageant day.
Contestants will be scored during their pre-event interview.
b. One-on-one interview with one of the 3 judges.
- Questions may be either about politics, environment, social issues or leadership.
c. Strictly 45 seconds ONLY for answering the question.
d. Wear light makeup only for girls. Neat and clean look for boys.
e. Jewelry should be minimal.
D. PAGEANT PROPER SEGMENTS
NOTE: Soundtrack will be provided for different Segments.
a. Opening Production (Creative/Theme Wear)
i. Each candidate must prepare a 15 second statement on introducing themselves. The following
includes:

1. Name

2. Age

3. Course / Program
4. God’s and Godesses being represented.
5. Team/Tribu being Represented
ii. Each candidate will participate the Fact-to-Face Shooting for the theme wear.

iii. The candidates must wear the MMCEAFA shirt and have a headdress, hand props, and make-
up related to the theme.

iv. Sizes of headdresses and hand props are unrestricted as long as they are wearable and
able to be carried; by the candidates.
v. The designs for your headdress or hand props can be innovated creatively. The reference will
not be used to determine the score; instead, it will be evaluated on its innovation, creativity and
projection.

b. Casual Wear
i. Each candidate will participate the Fact-to-Face Shooting for the theme wear.
ii. Candidates must be able to project their own personal sense of style. Modeling should be
simple and not overly complicated.

iii. Casual wear will be provided by the Sponsor Designer.

c. Formal Wear
i. Each candidate will participate the Fact-to-Face Shooting for the theme wear

iv. Formal wear will be provided by the Sponsor Designer.

E. Advocacy Video
For this year’s edition, the candidates will come up with only one advocacy focusing on
environmental needs of our society and tribute to our Philippine God’s and Goddesses who
are known as protectors of our environment.

F. SASH and AWARDS


There shall be three (3) types of awards to be given, namely:

1. Special Awards (non-bearing; the selection is based on the discretion of the sponsoring agency
or entity)

2. Minor Awards (given to a candidate who ranked as number 1 in each exposure)


3. Major awards (given to the deserving Top 5 Winners)

CEAFARampa Top Model Movement
1. Anyone can join this Top Model Competition . Since the CEAFA-SC also applies inclusivity for all, this is
open for all genders. It’s an all star edition for all genders.

4. All entries must not contain explicit or vulgar scenes.

1st Round : ONE COLOR CAMPAIGN

THIS REGISTRATION ROUND SHOULD BE SUBMITTED UNTIL APRIL 17, 2022

After this round the organization will create an official group chat for the official candiates for this year’s
cycle.

Once registered, all aspirants may continue to shoot their second, third and last entry.

2nd Round: WE GO GREEN


· 1 best photo of the outfit in PNG format with plain white background.
3rd Category: For Arts and Culture!
· 1 best photo of the outfit in PNG format with plain white background.
· Shout your ideas in promoting arts and cuklture through striking poses. You can paint your body, use
any props and anything that will notice your promotion. BE CREATIVE!

Final Category: CEAFAlaban, Tumitindig!


· 1 best photo of the outfit in PNG format with plain white background.
· Shout your advocacy through striking poses. You can paint your advocacy in your body or hold a
placard or anything that will notice your advocacy. BE CREATIVE!

The abovementioned requirements must be compiled on a Google Drive and must be submitted not later
than April 30, 2022 at 11:59 pm to ceafascalangilan@g.batstate-u,edu.ph with the subject CEAFARAMPA

7. Only minimal editing of pictures is alowed


a. Minimal adding of Filters, but encouraged to maintain it in raw file

1. Pictures will be posted on May 3-5 and will be judged on May 2-5, 2022.
2. Facebook reactions will only be counted by the number of HEART " reactions on the pictures.
3. Once the list of contestants is finally gathered, backouts will no longer be encouraged.
4. Each round/category will be judged according to this criteria:
