Regarding salary of entry-level officials and employees of bank-company .

BRPD Circular letters no 2 and 4 dated 20 January 2022 and 25 January 2022 respectively are being
drawn attention to the above subject.

02. From BRPD circular no 2/2022 by section 5 it has been announced that from 01 March 2022 new
pay scale will be applicable and until further notice, it will be maintained.

3. By observing the current pandemic circumstances to increase the effectiveness of banking activities
following guidelines are given to implement a new pay scale:

3.1 Employees, of Banks who received licenses as fourth generation in 2013 & all scheduled banks
established afterwards, Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited and ICB Islamic Bank Limited, appointed at
entry-level in the General side sector, their minimum salaries will be BDT 39,000 and from cash side
appointed employees will receive a minimum salary of BDT 36,000. As per the new pay scale, the basic
salary will be paid from April 2022 and the rest of the amount will be paid from April 2023. However, If
respective Bank management wants they can disburse all payments from the date of April 2022. On top
of that, after the implementation of the new pay scale, those employees who are working in the same
position their salaries will be adjusted proportionately by pay-fixation.

3.2. Exclude the banks which are mentioned in section 3.1 and for other banks those employees who
are working in entry-level general banking their minimum pay scale will be BDT 39,000 and from the
cash side, an appointed employee will receive a minimum salary of BDT 36,000 which will be effective
from April 2022. After the implementation of the new pay scale, those employees who are working in
the same position their salary will be adjusted proportionately.

3.3. Employees working on probation at entry level in general side in banks mentioned in section 3.1
their minimum salary will be BDT 28,000 and for cash side minimum salary will be BDT 26,000. The
difference which will happen between the new pay scale and the present pay scale the payment will be
paid a minimum of 50% in April 2022. The rest of the 50% will pay in April 2023. However, If Bank wants
they can disburse all payments from the date of April 2022. However, in mentioned banks in section 3.2
probationary employees who is working on the general side and the cash side their minimum salary will
be BDT 28,000 and BDT 26,000 respectively which will be effective from April 2022.

3.4. In the circular no 02/2022 from section 3.7 it is mentioned that messenger/ cleaner/ security
guard/office staff or in equivalent level or lower-level position who are working as permanent or
contractual or daily basis employee and who are working in the area of different division like
Narayanganj and Gazipur their minimum salary will be BDT 24,000 and for Dhaka and the other District
employee their minimum salary will be BDT 21,000 and for sub-district/ area employee their minimum
salary will be BDT 18,000.

3.5 The difference which will happen between the new pay scale and the present pay scale the payment
will be paid a minimum of 50% in April 2022 is mentioned in sections 3.1 and 3.4 employees as well.
The rest of the 50% payment will be paid in April 2023. However, If the bank wants they can disburse all
payments from the date of April 2022. But for all other banks, the new pay scale will be effective from
April 2022.

3.6. To appoint an employee from an outsourcing company as per section 3.4 banks can communicate
with them by maintaining equivalency in pay scale.

4. However BRPD circular no 02/2022 all other terms and conditions will be unchanged.
