Thesis Statement: Since, the distress evoked by these challenges has far-reaching individual, social
and political consequences, it is crucial to understand the factors and the arrangements that
contribute to precariousness.

Topic Sentence: There are several types of employment that usually associated with precarious work.
Main Support 1: According to Vosko, Zukewich and Cranford highlighted in their article
Precarious Jobs: A New Typology of Employment published in 2003, part-time work, fixed-term
work, on-call work, contingent work, temporary work and freelancing are some of the work types
that represent some difficulties for the workers.
Detail 1: There also have been made some governmental and institutional regulations.

indicate these vulnerable people of precarious work.
Detail 1: Many of the companies tend to recruit women workers for temporary jobs.
Detail 2: . Ethnic minorities are another group that is often exposed to discrimination in the
workplace and are forced to work for low-wages.
Detail 3: Extended retirement age schemes in many countries show that older people are
also suffering from these work procedures.
