P Activity 1. On Monday the teacher will introduce the topic

e of verb tenses to the students. To meet these
d standards students will be expected to compose
a adequate oral dialogue with correct use of verb

tenses.

2. The students will be introduced to the lesson by

y the teacher first presenting how verbs show
time through a PowerPoint presentation.
3. Students will then participate in a four corner
activity.
4. The teacher will have each corner in the
classroom labeled with: past, present, future,
and not sure yet. The students will gather at the
center of the classroom. The teacher will then
call out a sentence with a different tense and
the students will have to run to the corner of
the tense they think that sentence belongs to.
5. For an at home project the student will be
creating a video response to three prompts
posted on Flipgrid.
6. There will be three topic prompts posted on
Flipgrid, each one asks them to tell a story using
a verb tense.
7. The prompts are the following:
a. Describe what you did last weekend
using the past tense.
b. Describe your daily morning routine
using the present tense.
c. Describe what you plan to do on your
birthday this year using the future
tense.
8. The student will be expected to create a 1
minute response with a concrete and complete
oral story containing each verb tense.
9. The video response requires every student to be
in frame, however, they are welcome to use
filters and other features.
