June 2020-January residents with autism and other neurological

living to communicate with nursing and to provide

Mental Health Technician I

Hillcrest Family Services, Dubuque, IA
May 2021-Present  Averaged 24 hours a week in serving adults
diagnosed with various mental illnesses in
transitioning from a mental health hospital to
independent living.
 Worked as a part of a four-person team to
supervise upwards of 70 residents, ages 18 to 75.
 Drew upon active-listening skills and de-escalation
techniques to connect with residents.
 Kept detailed documentation of residents’ daily
activities for accountability to insurance funding
sources.
