CAREER OBJECTIVE
To serve students, families, and communities of underrepresented families as a school
counselor and professional clinical counseling associate (APCC). Support pupils in
grades K-12 through comprehensive school counseling programs, effective
counseling strategies, and culturally sustaining practices with the purpose of
addressing academic achievement, social-emotional wellness, and college/career
readiness.

Develop effective graduation plans based on student goals and strengths while
navigating through disparities in high school graduation requirements between
comprehensive and alternative education
Research, design, implement, and evaluate group counseling interventions for
expectant and parenting youth, healthy relationships, and coping with trauma
Provide 1:1 brief counseling addressing mental health and substance abuse using
learned therapeutic strategies (cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational
