Reason, Cause: 0
The saved position of the column or the spotfilm device when switching on the NV-RAM on
the D320/XCU board does not match the one that is calculated from the potentiometer val-
ues after switching on the system.
Possible causes:
1. In 99.9% of all cases, the cause is unclear and can be found in almost every error log
- without a HW defect being responsible for it,
- without there being a misadjustment.
Action 0
1. Perform adjustment and linearization of the potentiometers; see "Spotfilm Device and
Column Longitudinal Drive" in the ICONOS Online Help:

Reason, Cause: 0
The BUC has not signaled a position for too long a period:
Action 0
The BUC (SW) is monitored by the SCU with the new VE00B system SW.
If the SCU senses irregularities (see Reason, Cause), the safety circuit is switched off by
the Master drive. It will no longer be possible to move the unit.
The system will function again properly after a system switch-off/on.
Meaning 0
Reason, Cause: 0
The BUC has indicated that it has moved into the target position, however the actual posi-
tion is too far away from it:
Action 0
If the SCU senses irregularities (see Reason, Cause), the drive is switched off. After
acknowledging the error, the drive can be operated again.
The system will function again properly after acknowledging the error.

The BUC drive reaches positions that do not match the previously calculated values:
In addition, the last and the current positions are signaled line numbers with Error Numbers
580 and 581.

The system will function again properly after acknowledging the error.
The affected drive can be determined from the additional information, see table.

NOTE Depending on the error before or after Error 580, the meaning
of the value in Error 580 will change.
For example:
1. 032 R0574 N SCU: incorrect position data; Iconos R200 in BUCT_DRV module on line
0
2. 032 R0580 N SCU: BUC info channel 1; Iconos R200 in BUCT_DRV module on line

Explanation of the Example
1. BUCT_DRV on line 0
- 0: Tilt
- 1: Tabletop longitudinal
- 2: Lift
¹ Tilt drive
2. BUCT_DRV on line +8850
- Tilt resolution 0.01°
¹ The last position of the tilt drive was +88.5°
Meaning of Error:
• The last position of the drive
¹ Error 574
• The time since the stop (msec)
¹ Error 575
• The limit position of the drive
¹ Error 576
• The target position of the drive
¹ Error 577

Bucky wall stand (BWS): CAN bus malfunction. Many telegrams had to be repeated.
Reason, Cause: 0
A CAN controller needed several attempts to establish communication to the SCU or vice
versa. Here the problem is not necessarily the CAN controller for the Bucky wall stand!
Error registered in XCS error log but not displayed on remote control consoles. Error has
no consequence, but might occur in XCS error log frequently.
Error entered into XCS error log during system boot only. Error not logged during operation.

Solution in work. Replacement of parts does not help solving the feature.
• The minimum insertion force "F" for the 30 x 24 cm /12 x 10 inch cassette should not
exceed 25 N in all unit positions.
¹ A change with "Adjustment/Calibration/Spotfilm device/Cassette tensioning:
Close speed" from 50% to 90% in the SSW results in a change of the insertion
force of approx. 20N.
- Use all long holes; if needed, shorten the plastic part of the switch-off elements.
¹ Measure from the lowest point of the I.I. (light distributor) to the end of the
switch-off element. In addition, make sure that if a switch-off element is manually
actuated, a minimum distance (Z) to the I.I. (light distributor) is maintained (the
minimum distance (Z) is the actuated switch to the I.I.).
